Top 60 All-Time Greatest Blue Jays

Post#1 » by Brinbe » Thu Jan 7, 2021 1:28 pm

Bluebird Banter is currently running a series on their picks for the top 60 Jays of all the times and I had admittedly had to lol a bit @ their choice for 60

https://www.bluebirdbanter.com/2021/1/6/22216437/top-60-all-time-greatest-blue-jays-60-shaun-marcum

They can't all be home runs lol

Anyway, since this has been a slow off-season maybe this will spark a bit of chatter and memories of good (and a lot of bad) times gone by as the list goes on.

Man, Marcum's 63rd in career fWAR with the Jays with...6.6? That's shockingly low. Three seasons as an above-average starting pitcher and you're in top 20 Jays starters of all-time.

Safe to say no one on the current roster makes the Top 60 of all-time. Several future candidates, obviously, but interesting that this team really has nothing close to an established Blue Jay icon. It's all about potential with this group.

More about service time than anything. Lots of understandable turnover from the very old great team from a few years ago.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Hmm, looks like they also did a Top 55 all time nine years ago.

Will be interesting to see if there's much movement amongst players who haven't played with the Jays in a decade.
