I’m not overly worried, but he does need to get his shooting at least back to last year lol. It’s been all or nothing lately from 3. Maybe he just needs time to get comfortable with his form at game speed.

He’s also not making good decisions when he attacks. Should be looking to pass more honestly than try to attack or finisher over a packed paint. Or at least use that runner he’s occasionally used this year. It’s looked good

We loved Sprewell and he was inefficient.

Too early to give up on the kid. Inefficiency is nothing new for knicks players. Saw it with Kp, Hardaway, frank and knox. Game is getting to his head though. He keeps trying to amend his mistakes by scoring but getting nothing. At one point he kept pump faking under the rim like an old vet and nobody biting. Barret drastically needs atleast a midrange game. The open shot is there, they giving it to him.

As long as his freethrow percentage improves I won't be worried too much, our spacing is atrocious. Also, the work Fultz did to turn around his game and jumper should show these guys are too young to give up on.

This dude would be better coming off the bench. I blame his shooting but also blame payton for it. You can see the ball goes back to payroll to randel to payton. The times rj shoots its when he hasn't shot in a while or has to make something happen because payton is not a dam point guard. so its hurting him ill judge RJ next year if we have a shooting but. Dam I can't put all the blame on payton. Like RJ Airballs and has a lot of bricks.

Kelly Oubre, by himself, drags the Warriors down from 4th in 3 point fg percentage to 19th. But Hanlen also trains Jayson Tatum and Brad Beal so he alone isn't the problem. Although he probably isn't keeping it simple with these guys. RJ needs the basics reinforced. Catch and shot. 1-2 pullup. Jump stop. He is very very scatter armed.

Vorkunov notes that – within the last 10 years – only three rookies who shot at least 200 attempts during their respective rookie seasons were worse (than RJ) from the line (Nerlens Noel, Ben Simmons, Elfrid Payton) -- well, what do u know. We now have 3 or the 4 worst foul shooters as rookies on the same Knicks team. Almost like it was planned.

Even close to the basket he's been bad lately. He needs to get his head out of his ass and play up to his abilities.

He has too long of a wind up before he releases. I’m not hopeful.

Maybe this guy is right? "Browsing around a lot of the RJ Barrett scouting reports online, I saw a troubling sentence: Barrett may have peaked in high school.'"

He doesn’t look like much of a passer to me either

He needs to put in some major work because he has serious holes in his game for a number 3 pick. The only positive thing I can say about him is that he has imporoved his FT shooting. Not ready to call him a bust yet but I'm not excited about RJ's play so far at all.

Maybe he looks sluggish because he averages the most minutes in the league.....context matters

He's 20 years old and it's not even 1/4 of the season.

Truth is Elfrid Payton kills our spacing. Need to start Quickley or Rivers

Facts. Folks might not wanna hear it. But RJ is hurting this team on the offensive end right now. Maybe worst than Frank. At least Frank knows his limitations.. RJ just keeps shooting even tho he can’t...

they both are...but RJ does more on the floor then Payton does and you have to give Barrett the mins to improve also. Id straight up bench/cut Elfrid. Need to be able to hit 3pt shots as a guard in this league. Its a joke watching us play against a zone.

What does RJ do on the floor for us? His passing is overrated. His rebounding is just okay.

His passing would be less overated if he had better shooters around him. The same could be said about Payton in the other sense but Payton isnt the player we are looking to build with. Right now we have the worst shooting starting lineup in the entire league. Right now Reggie Bullock is our best shooter and hes shooting 3s at 33%. Kind of a joke.

Its still not an ideal starting lineup because we still have RJ playing SG (He plays more of a SF role on defense and Bullock plays the SG on offense) but still...the lineup is flawed, but we can put something together that we can compete with , with Thibs as the coach. Once Burks comes back it helps give us more flexibility as well.

Robinson/Noel/Taj
Randle/Obi/Knox
Barrett/Knox/Frank
Burks/Rivers/Frank
Quickley/Rivers/Frank

Is something i would like to see once we have the players. For now i would just bench Payton cuz he cant shoot and hold him for somebody who is desperate for a pg.

Two/3 players i would like to see us go for that would help us decongest our roster a bit and give us players who are better fits...

1. Terrence Ross
2 Evan Fournier
3 Otto Porter Jr

DSJR/Payton/Bullock/Frank + a few of our 2nd rounders can be used in the trade to get it done. I would like to keep Frank if possible because he can be a nice guy who can play/guard 3 positions off the bench but hes always injured so whatever.
