I think this is PR.
But if it is not, I'm fine with KP coming back. You know it will take him time to get his shot back and get conditioned and that is just going to hurt Dallas / help our pick.

Perhaps we get a gift from God re this trade/pick. Already looking very nice.

Captain what are your thought on trading for Zach Levine. If we had to give up a couple of unprotected 1sts while retaining our core would you do it?

IQ-Levine-RJ-Randle-Mitch

No TRUE PG but with the way the NBA is being played today that lineup has playmaking from 1-4.

Thoughts?

I'd have to watch Lavine a little more TBH. My gut says if we're gonna do a move like that Oladipo should be the guy for playmaking and 2 way ability. Lord knows we need scoring though. You?

They kept their heads above water enough without him that prospects aren't great on a lottery pick there.

Nets a lotto team with KD and Kyrie I would call that a fail. Even if they get No 1

I think the Bulls may have something with Patrick and Coby. Both have NBA chops.

I don't think we can laugh at anyone, including the Nets. If RJ goes down the tubes, we have done almost nothing right except sign Randle (which we all condemned, and he'll cost a lot after next year). That puts a ton of egg on all our faces, including me.

Well we still have Mitch.

I would seriously consider it. The guy is 25 and putting up 28-5-4 on 49/38/89 splits. His 3PT volume is around 9 the last 2 years. I truly believe that he would be a phenomenal addition to what we are trying to build. For all this talk about “one day making a move for Donovan Mitchell” do you really see the difference between him and LaVine? In the beginning of his career it was clearly defense but I haven’t seen Spida try on that end in 2 years.

Sham makes a very valid point. Oladipo is a target where you wouldn’t have to unload picks to get him. But do you have faith in Oladipo continuing to get back to the level he once was. Right now he’s putting up 20-6-4 on 42/40/72 splits. The shooting from 3PT has been the best of his career. Volume is up to 7.3 a game. With Oladipo we would have to buy the idea of him continuing to evolve his perimeter long range shooting.

Lots to think about IMO.

Lavine is a great player, so long as you don't play him as your point guard.

Efficient scorer, can shoot, finish, handle, pass, just not a consistently good decision-maker. Of course, he's horrible on defense.

I think he would be a nice addition to Mitch-Randle. He'd actually help RJ's game as well.

I tend to trust players who improve year after year. Lavine has always gotten better, he puts in the work.
