Re: Official Celtics 2020-21 Regular Season Thread
I would consider it malpractice to force Boston to play the upcoming back to back with only 8 bodies. There's oodles of study that less rest and more minutes = higher injury risk. Someone is gonna get hurt when you ask a guy out of the blue to play 35+ minutes on back to backs after being a bench warmer.
At least create a temporary waiver to sign a healthy body or two from a health and safety standpoint. Some G league piece won't determine if we win or lose, but may help prevent someone from getting hurt by being pushed too many minutes in a short span.

I think that the NBA has to seriously consider going on a hiatus.

I hope Timelord getting COVID is just bad luck rather than the result of something knuckleheaded.

No longer tied for best record in the league at 7-3, as the Lakers are now up to 8-3.

I think the league has a rough idea for maximum length of a bubble. And they want to minimize the number of bubbles this season, with a strong target of zero.
I think if the pandemic in the summer is anywhere near as bad as it is now, they'll bubble up for the postseason again. But of course we're all hoping that with vaccines that won't nearly be the case.

What? A professional basketball player can't play 35 minutes? I get your over all point. But, come on. Read what you wrote out loud to yourself.

I dont get why they didnt increase the roster sizes further. Feels like everyone wouldve supported that.

More evidence that the double big lineup needs to die a death. Hopefully with Kemba coming back it’s the last we see of it, or even better they trade Theis for some wing depth

More evidence to back up the eye test that the team runs better with Pritchard on the court. Hopefully Kemba will have a similar effect.

On off stuff needs a fair bit more minutes to normalize, but still is valuable when the data is extreme like the TT/Theis lineup.

Celtics now in solo 1st in the East after the Sixers loss. Apparently, only COVID can stop the Cs from winning (aside from Brad Stevens of course).

Really need to fire Brad. It's clear we should be 10-0 right now.

Siakam is 12-7-5 in 12 minutes. Maybe he's not washed up?
