He had a good game but the late game plays for him have to end.

He was cooking Covington all game and he nearly made it. It was a good shot.

these losses dont matter, what matters is if masai leaves this team high and dry. that would be heartbreaking. im hoping that masai looks at these 10 games with pure disgust and fixes our center spot for the future. Cade will fix the guard situation. we need a wing aswell. OG is a good backup SF/PF, but we need a true scoring 3

he was. siakam, fvv, boucher have all been better than lowry this season. he's cost us big time in every close game we've been in so far this season.

I got flamed for saying he's literally costed us 4 games in the clutch this year.

Im a big nurse fan but this game gotta be on him for not calling a timeout when all we were doing was chucking up brick 3s. Portland didnt even have a center in the game.

We played well though and saw a lot of positives. We definetly didnt deserve that L. Still gotta keep moral up and a great step up from the beginning of the season

The Raptors are not coming back from this... those are 2 demoralizing losses in the last 2 days. I really feel for them. That's our season right there..

Look at what he’s been given to work with man.

The bench features Bembry, Baynes, Len, Yuta, a rookie, Watson, Thomas, TD, and Norm, who’s been bad.

This is not a good roster. Thats evidenced by the change in the rotation every night.

Sure the roster has its problems but this roster is better than a 20% win percentage team. We’re sitting below all the crap teams of the league and a lot of these teams have far worse rosters
As much as it would be good for the tank, they’re not ending up with a 20% win percentage unless Lowry is traded or Siakam gets hurt.

I don’t think Nurse is on the hot seat nor should he be. As far as I’m concerned he can focus on growth this year, too.

He would fix so many of our issues. He would become our defacto #1 option, and primary ball handler. He would take pressure off Pascal and let him settle into that #2 role, and he would opens up FVV game up even more, allowing him to defend point guards and being a deadly off ball threat.

Cade
FVV
Oladipo
OG
Siakam

the new post-Giannis dream

FVV
Cade
OG
Siakam
Boucher

FVV
Norm
OG
Siakam
Mobley

Suggs
FVV
OG
Siakam
Boucher

All 3 fill such a huge hole for us. If we tank and come out with any of those 3, this team is headed in the right direction.

This type of loss is great for the stealth tank. More importantly, I love what the close losses and missed late game execution is doing for Siakam.

It is no coincidence that this series of losses have coincided with Siakam suddenly playing legit good basketball. When was he ever close to a triple-double nevermind just missing back-to-back ones?

Keep tanking it up and next season on will be the Siakam revenge tour with Cade riding shotgun.

Ok. I still haven’t seen any poor game planning or strategic failings on nurses part.

I still don't think our record can remain this bad for the rest of the season, but with every close loss it becomes more and more of a possibility. I really think he would be an awesome fit with Fred/Pascal/OG.

Why wouldn’t this team trade Lowry though? It doesn’t appear to be a playoff team, so what are we holding onto? Make the full tank and trade Lowry and Norm away.

This. Siakam has become Spicy P again, maybe even better with his passing game. We are wasting his good games trying to figure out who will show up with him from game to game. End games are not his thing, or maybe it's a luck thing. I swear he will turn this around.

Kyle has been crap again. This game he was just a hot mess. Some careless turnovers, poor shot selection and fouls. Kyle over the last two shows up for a quarter and then fades out again. Not sure if there is something going on in his personal life or what, but he looks like a stranger out there.

Why does Toronto struggle so much to close games? They stagnate so much with two PGs and Siakam on the court. Kyle should be leading them more.

We closed fine, offense actually created several wide open dunks and had some open 3's as well.

I don't know what you're seeing. Pascal has been great. He's getting what he wants on offense the last few games. Both shots are shots he can make. The defense didn't bother him. He just missed shots he can make. I'm disappointed in the loss, but glad to see Siakams development. I've said it after the second loss to New Orleans. It seems like this year is just not going to break our way. We could just as easily be 8-2. But I'm not sad if we lose these games while our players develop. Siakam is taking the next step before our eyes. He's looked unstoppable the last few games and handling the double teams way better.

If we can get a good prospect this draft, it can set us up for the next 10 years with a core of Siakam, VanVleet, OG, Malachi and whoever else we get.

It seems like it's meant to be.
