Nets did say Kyrie was out for personal reasons.

Regular season doesn't matter anyway.

Who are you dropping out to make room for Hayward?

Jayson is better
Giannis is better
Durant is better
Sabonis is better

Tier 2
Siakam
Harris
Middleton
Hayward

Perhaps they count him as a back court player to try and make room

Jaylen is better
Beal is better
Trae is better
Lavine is better

Tier 2
Simmons
Lowry
Brogdon
Irving
Hayward

I love your user name.

As for the players:

Guys who seem like if-healthy locks include:

Sabonis
Giannis
Jayson
Durant

Guys who seem like stronger candidates than Hayward include:

At least one of Embiid/Simmons
At least one of Bam/Butler
Trae
Beal

That leaves a lot of competition for what is likely 4 slots.

Whichever of Brooklyn, Boston, Philly, Milwaukee, Indiana or Miami has a great record also has strong potential to place a second star. And Lavine is in the running from a presumably weak team. So, absent a surprisingly strong showing for Charlotte in the standings, Hayward probably won't make it. But he's in the mix.

Everyone that had "Kyrie wont be able to hold it together this year." and had BEFORE the AS Break, please collect your winnings at the window.

Didn't Kyrie skip a game as a Celtic a few years ago for a birthday party too or am I misremembering?

Seems like the venue was actually located in New Jersey, so not quite as juicy as traveling across an international border, but still pretty great.

Who was the clown giving me **** about the Nets a week ago and how they were going to be a higher seed than the Celtics? lmao

Honestly good for him if he can get away with it and still get paid. Basically retired with a max contract. Nets are now 12-15 in games in which Kyrie plays (of 88 total games he could have played in) so I can see why Brooklyn is fine with his taking some time off.

Not for nothing but Randle is putting up 22/11/7 and currently has the Knicks in the playoffs. I'm skeptical of it all holding up but if it does he will get strong consideration for a spot.

Irving is such a self-absorbed clown.

I'm going to take a couple of weeks of work because I feel things so deeply, but still pay me obscene amounts of money.

As good as herro was playing, that turnover of his would probably cost them this game.

He's the worst. Just a complete, self-absorbed egomaniac. I feel bad for Brooklyn fans, but I'm so glad he's not our problem anymore.

It’s fun basketball when the ball moves quickly, as opposed with a team that has a lot of ball stoppers, iso ball, hero ball, 3pt chuckers.

Lol at the mental gymnastics some of them are doing to defend the guy.

But at the same time, I cringe because I was probably at that point as well. I think I stuck up for him all the way until the Bucks series, where it became evident that he was tanking games.

The Nets board is having their epiphany now about Kyrie and its fun to watch. Prok is not going down without a fight though.
