who looks at this roster and sees some kind of underachiever? to be sniffing around .500 is an accomplishment to me. that's not some half full glass talk. there's a LOT of work to be done with what we have. AND we need more talent. but i'm still content to watch them work.

now if we're talking about roster construction and PT... fair. but that we are 5-6 being the problem... i got nothing for that.

More so than anything RJ is more concerning then any record. I think I want to come away early in this year believing RJ had the potential to be a really good player. Now its still really early and I am not remotely ready to give up on him because he hasn't played 82 games yet in his NBA career but when you look at translatable skills to becoming a really good player for RJ...it sometimes can be difficult to find.

Outside of two games against the pacers he has been one of the worst players in the NBA in the other 9 games.

The rest of the guys really don't matter to me (outside of maybe Mitch) but none of those guys our foundational franchise pieces that RJ is suppose to be. I know I know everyone is going to say what about Julius Randle. Well if I'm being honest I still don't buy it. For the month of January he is now shooting 21% from 3 and 46% from the field. Those are very similar to his last year numbers. Now don't get me wrong I do believe he has improved but to what point, enough to say he is a LONG term piece for a team that will be winning a lot of games? I have serious doubts about that.

What y’all think we can get in a Frank trade? Seems like he’s always gonna be hurt.

He has no long term role here so might as well trade him before he’s a free agent. Sell high on him before we lose him for nothing

my guy he's hurt right now. No one is trading for him when he's hurt. Other than that we are not about to go down this road in this thread. You know what you did :o :o

What y’all think we can get in a Randle trade? Seems like he’s just inna contract year. Time to sell on whatever high his value is on.

randle is gonna be worth more than whatever you can get for him right now. the knicks aint gonna trade him anyway. it took a year but it's one of the few things they've gotten right so far.

The loser Dolan mindset is thinking he’s our best player.

Or that being the ‘best player’ on the Knicks has any meaning at all.

RJ's shooting is alarming to me. but i too am not ready to give up on him. i honestly see star player in a lot of other areas. i get chills with some of his drives. combinations of his creativity and power are starting to come together. i really would be urging him against the three ball for now and seeing if he can start to see some 18 footers go down. i know long twos are an analytics nightmare, but we probably should try to find the spacing he can actually provide. it's not helpful for him to miss all of his threes and encourage the zone defenses we're seeing.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

Let’s keep trading away our best young players and draft more Frank and Knoxs. Are you the guy who’s advising Dolan?
