Now. But demar's handle has come a long way from when he was drafted.
Demar is hitting a lot of the same mid range shots from college right now. His handle was and still is significantly better than RJ’s.
Fair enough, I got distract there anyway as I wasn't trying to say that RJ is a clone of Demar who will go about things in the same way. No doubt he'll be getting those shots in a different way, he's not as quick or explosive as a young DDR was, though he's longer, stronger & a better passer. I was moreso just trying to point out that RJ's midrange shooting has made progress from last year and if he repeated that progress one more time, his rates would be in that same range DDR was in when he became an allstar.
Plus, initially, I only brought Demar up to illustrate the points that you can progress as a shooter even without adding the 3ball to your arsenal and that guys have extended their range even late in their careers. As a counter-example to the notion that any of us can know now that a hard-working 20yo won't ever grow into a plus 3pt shooter just because he sucks at them in the present.
But again, I said at the start of the season that I expected RJ's 3ball to be a year or two away still; so was more interested in him improving at the line and from midrange...which is probably why I'm not disappointed by RJ's progress so far like some of y'all seem to be.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!
