GT: DEN @ BRK || 01/12/21, 730pm EST

All thoughts are welcome here. I'll share some quick-hitters:

1) This is a get-right game against a tough opponent. Denver has a true MVP candidate in Jokic, as well as a rising star in Murray. Their 3rd spoke Porter is out due to COVID-19 protocol, and some of their other role-players have gotten off to oddly rough starts. They have put on some dazzling offensive displays, but are 10th in their Conference standings because they have not been able to get key stops. Basically, we're playing ourselves! No excuses, no distractions. Pressure busts pipes, and creates diamonds.

2) Let's cut the too-cool-for-school routine, mkay, Steve? As I mentioned previously, the honeymoon is over. The coach of vibes isn't enough to corral and lead a rudderless team. Some people think that means Bobby Knight circa 1982, and no one needs that. You can be your even-keel self. The main thing your team needs is to see that good and bad play has consequences. When Shamet defecates on the court, yank him. I know he's your son's favorite, but he is regressing because he has no fear of you taking away his role. It also sends a message to the rest of the team, that no matter how hard they work, they won't be able to snatch PT away from Landry.

3) Chiozza also needs to stay seated firmly on the bench. I was glad he returned on a 2-way, but opposing teams are keying in more than ever on his, um, shortcomings. Both he and LS strongly correlate in 4- and 5-man units with our worst periods of play by advanced metrics. I know we're down a PG already (oh, you hadn't heard?), but we simply can't play either of these guys more than mop-up duty. Which leads me to...

4) PLAY TYLER JOHNSON. Seriously, he's no saviour, but in the few opportunities he's had, he's been better than either of the above. We will rely heavily on Caris to run the offense, and TJ is uber-efficient playing off of him in a secondary ball-handler role.

I hope the starters will be Levert, Brown, Harris, Durant and Jor... psych, Allen! Both Prince and Green have played well lately, BUT they seem to play best when platooned together. Tyler, TLC and those 2 can come off the bench, the others can rest. This gives us offensive versatility and proven units that defend well. It's time to tune out the distractions, GO BROOKLYN!

Going by our recent trend... we should smash the Nugs tonight amirite?

I hope Nash brings Brown back into the rotation plus doesn't forget to play the starters in the 4th again.

It would be good to see Brown involved also.

Is Tyler Johnson available? If so he needs to get some Playing time also.

So far there seems to be little interaction between the coaching staff during the game......Just sayin

We really need a big night from our bench tonight to stand a chance.

Denver is good-fun team and I am really looking forward to tonights matchup. I would Love to see an NBA / ABA finals Nuggets Nets!

Denver is one of the best offensive teams in the league. If we don't defend well, we're getting ran off the floor.

This game is really important to quiet the noise.

I was thinking same thing! I call us the Jekyll and Hyde team, it wouldn't surprise me at all to defeat the Nuggets by 12 tonight, only to get the brakes beaten off us tomorrow by the Knicks. Make us make sense.

Imo, this is gonna be a blowout loss for us. We have zero answer for Jokic or Murray, and Denver can lock down on D when they want to.

He's trying to stagger KD and LeVert.

We legit have no reliable PGs. Johnson is still on Covid protocol I think and Chiozza probably lost Nash's trust (which is amazing considering how long Shamet's leash has been). KD will probably the primary ball handler with the starters.

Kyrie is **** ing this team over bro. There is no way that we can spin this. He's doing us dirty.

I have no clue how Vegas has us at -1.5. I'm tempted to slap $100 on Denver

Brown with excellent defense.

KD is just amazing. I really hope we can swing a trade or something to get this guy the help that he needs.
