No, I'd re-evaluate things then like any intelligent person would, but there's literally no reason to force the move early if you don't need to. I can tell you that if I'm Morey though, I'm not making franchise altering moves as overreactions to COVID striking.

It doesn’t need to be Simmons and a bunch more for Harden. Simmons to Chicago or Minnesota will get you a couple pretty players back, keep the rest of our assets and really give Simmons a better fit on those teams.

This isn't Covid striking. This is your most valuable player looking around at the supposed other "superstar" on his team giving him 5 points of help against an opponent running 8 deep.

You can get away with that when your scoring player is a guard or a winger who can create, but when it's a center he NEEDS a guard or a wing that can make his life easier.

Right now, if I'm Embiid, I'm fuming over Ben being a complete zero on offense. 12 assists is nice, but great point guards get you 10 assists while scoring 20 or more. If Ben got even his average tonight we win this in a walk and Embiid knows it.

Guys hit some tough shots over Maxey and sometimes he looked like a rookie on D, but the kid doesn’t turn the ball over, has defensive potential, tons of assists, scores and will develop that three. He is the PG for this team.

At this point the I'd rather us make Maxey untouchable than Ben Simmons. I have infinitely more faith that this kid is going to develop into a monster than I do in Ben making the jump.
