You could cut that clip and paste it into the new Space Jam for when the Monstars steal your NBA powers. It's like Ben momentarily forgot what do with a basketball.

Proof that he shrinks the floor for his teammates despite being a great passer. Think what we now see is teams have figured out how to play him and he refuses to expand his range.

The irony is great. Wasn't it John Wall who sulked and pouted when his teammates played better without him and he didn't want to "buy in" to ball movement?

How much you wanna bet this doesn’t get called out in film session tomorrow.

Of course not. I said it weeks ago when Doc Rivers did what every other coach has said abut Ben... "We don't want Ben thinking about shooting the ball". That's when I knew his career was done.

Ben hasn't had a decent coach since Kevin Boyle at Montverde Academy. He was the only one that used to ride him about his shooting... and when you take a look at his old high school clips and see him hitting pull up jumpers from 3... it is absolutely embarrassing the way the Philly coaches have babied him right through to Doc Rivers today. Ya reckon Gregg Popovich would have put up with that ****. He would have benched him.

As much as I trashed Danny green. He was scrappy all game and got his hands on alot of balls, rebounded and hit his threes. Dwight was great backing up Biid , Maxey had a tough time tonight getting the team in its sets and was pretty bad defensively. Learning experience for everyone

I do wonder how much Doc let's Embiid take the ball up the court to make sure the ball is in his hands at the end of games

Its frustrating at the end of games when we can't get the ball to Embiid, although teams could counter it by trapping, it could give them a different look for a possession or 2.

Simmons doesn’t take 15-20 shots on his best days lol.

Ben ain’t a primary/secondary scorer treating him as one is a lose lose situation

Ben ain’t a primary ball handler either that’s obvious as a the day is long

16/8/8 All NBA Defence candidate, Playmaking PF small center, should be his modus operandi for any team having him

Anything outside of that he has the biggest drop off I’ve ever seen from any other player that’s elite.

Once again not winning a thing with Ben as ur 2nd option

And those 1st/2nd options need to cater to him to bring the best out of him

Embiid just needs to play and be healthy and look how dominate he is

He even had three PF/C’s at once lol and he still dominated games. No wonder he’s fed up lol

I still can’t believe we haven’t had a legit good pg for Embiid’s seven seasons

That is why Doc pairs Ben with Biid most of the time. Doc’s offense isn’t going to sacrifice for Ben.

And it’s working for the team. Halfcourt, Biid takes the lead. Transition, Ben takes the lead. And if you are going to run a heavy post game, you need elite defense which the starting unit gives.

The problem IMO is this style may not work in the playoffs.

Heat and Olynyk is one of those smart teams who can neutralize Ben and we saw it tonight.

Prior to this, teams were defending Ben too high.

Team was terrified to draft or sign a PG because it would offend Ben.

I can’t fully go there because Fultz was supposed to be that guy. Him flaming out is a big overlooked part of the Ben Simmons problem.

I have a hard time imagining the Sixers winning a championship with Simmons. That is not championship basketball.

Both Embiid & Simmons have been mismanaged.
No real pg, no elite scoring wing that can complement both of them greatly.

But at the end of the day it falls squarely on the player themselves

You can push all you want cant make the horse drink as they say

Simmons is that close yet light years away it truely boggles the mind how high his floor was/is and how low ceiling is/was.
