If it just took Elf and RJ, I'd do it, because RJ sucks and Simmons is Super Elf.

And since we've been told how good Elf is lately, I'll take Elf plus 5 inches taller, better defense, better passer.

He's actually worse than Payton on offense, for all his faults at least Payton will take the corner three if it's open and spaces to the corner or wings. Simmons when he's off the ball will just go to the dunkers spot, doesn't matter who is there, it would be the same exact thing that happened to the Sixers last year. You'd see Mitch, Randle and Simmons all within 5 feet of the rim, just like how Horford, Embiid and Simmons were, except we don't have an Embiid type of offensive talent.

I'd trade Mitch after I traded Payton and R(no)J and Randle.

Because....wait for it.....

Burning assets for a taller Elfrid Payton

Makes sense

Elf Is AWESOME :D

You might as well keep him than trade him plus assets for Ben Simmons.

ben simmons has more value than the nets package. even if houston doesn't keep him, they can re-trade him for more. this is not even a real debate. you might not like him or think he's overvalued but he does have more value.

Both have skill sets of stars, but neither are really good enough to be stars (unless Randle keeps this up all year, which I have reservations about)

It'd be kind of a lateral move at best. I guess you could argue we get more perimeter shot creation, which we need, but I doubt it really changes our record much

But then again, it does open up minutes for Obi and Knox, and we'd get a first

Probably worth it, actually. Straight up, not so much, but if they're sending us a pick, go for it.

Levert would let us dump RJ right quick. So that if he does end up being good, we can make sure that it won't be for us. Silverlining?

He's not really a clock. Even a broken clock is consistent

He's more like a metronome, swinging wildly back and forth

Which I guess, even a broken metronome will hit the right beat every once in a while.

Yeah he’s most likely going to Philly if Morey is willing to give up Simmons

Dunno, if Rockets are getting like all the picks and swaps, so the last one is gonna be in 2028.

KD and Harden are already pretty old. KD and Kyrie are both injury prone.

Plus there is Kyrie factor when no one knows what the hell hes gonna do in a year or two.

So those 2024-2028 picks potentially can be pretty juicy.

I'd rather have Mitch than Simmons at this point, I know what Mitch is and he's not locked into a 5 year $170 million deal. The only way for Simmons to be really effective on offense is to play him at C, and build around him like he's a rim runner. He could probably be a supercharged Bam on offense, but he doesn't give you that type of rim protection.

Despite his flaws if sixers would trade Simmons, rockets have to take it, just Simmons defense a lone is a difference maker, he’s better than anything nets can trade, especially with Dimwits out for the year, but if the nets give up and mortgage their whole future for Harden I’ll be one happy Knicks fan

you gotta pay jarrett allen next year and you just paid wood. dinwiddie is a free agent coming off a major injury. so james harden for caris lavert and joe harris and some picks that will never be in the lottery. that's terrible.
