come on man, brooklyn have durant, harden & kyrie

i cant see a scenario where they dont win at least one chip, even if they dont win, it was a move you had to make, you just had to

I'm really gonna miss Jarrett Allen not gonna lie. Dude was a beast in the making, was already one of the better defensive bigs in the league imo.

We do have serious defensive concerns right now with Kyrie-Harden-Harris-Jordan as 4/5 of our starting lineup. KD is the only plus defender, and you can't really expect him to be an anchor at 32/33 years old coming off an Achilles.

Kyrie is AWOL, unreliable, and has sold the team out for god knows what. I'm not amused right now to be honest. If anything, Harden makes it so that Kyrie is expendable.

Yeah I'm sure those 8 picks won't come back to haunt us

Great can't wait to watch DeAndre Jordan play 30+ mins a night now, but at least we'll score 160 points every night as KD and Harden take turns going iso

I think it's 7 of our picks with one from Cleveland. Yes, I know it doesn't make it THAT much better for you.

Claxton can't come back soon enough. Wish somehow Nets got another big in this deal.

Allen - Above Avg center. probably tail end of the top 10. BUT is a rental as a pending free agent.
Levert - Polarizing player. flashes of brilliance but overall oft injured and one of the most inefficient scorers.
Kurucs - doesnt play, has a player options, and still in court over the domestic thing
Prince - everyone hates him

From a player perspective its not a ton to give up. Allen is the best on court piece but C isnt super valued around the league and he is a rental so from a value perspective that hurts. Levert is a tough sell with his injury history and inconsistency as being a Simmons type piece. he is an above avg player on a decent contract. but an injury risk who hasnt put it together or shown great off ball portability.

Kurucs/prince whatever

now to the picks.... First lets make an enromous distinction WE ARE NOT GOING 8 YEARS WITHOUT PICKS even in a worst case scenario, we are getting 4 picks back in the swaps and will have a pick. keep in mind the people upset over guys were trading were all taken 21 or later. where those swaps would end up around.

odd year swaps: 21,23,25,27
-21 is not going to convey. 0.0% chance rockets have a better record then us this year
-23 is unlikely to swap.

even year picks lost
22,24,26,28

22 is going to be a pick in the mid to late 20s. 24 is likely to be non lotto.

So the out look is:
we keep our '21 pick
we lose a pick in the 20s in 2022
we keep our '23 pick
We lose a pick in the 20s in 2024

25, 26,26,28 we would be getting at worst 2 picks back from swaps in the 20s somewhere. but odds are we are able to sign stars/keep stars/trade for stars before houston can rebuild into a title contender.

this is SUPER low risk compared to the boston trade

even if brooklyn gets rid of kyrie, theyd still be better with harden than kyrie

kyrie is a headcase, but still, as a brooklyn fan, you have to be excited about this ****, especially when you consider where your franchise was less than 10 years ago

Those 25 through 27 picks was a huge push. Not sure how to feel about that. We better be that much attractive team for star players to come over for years to come. If not, we'll have huge issues.

How did Marks not manage to get PJ Tucker or another rotation player in the deal?

I mean look I am sure I will be happy once it sinks in, we've got two top 5 players now, and an All Star PG if Kyrie's manic episode ever decides to finish. We just need to fill in the blanks.

I don't see Kyrie fitting in here now anyway when we have Harden.

7 years without our picks. Zero protections. This is pretty wild.

We need to find a center ASAP. More has to be on the horizon because DJ is not the guy you want next to a Kyrie/Harden back court.

Kyrie/Brown
Harris/Shamet
Harden/TLC
Durant/Green
DJ/Claxton/Perry

Crazy thing is if Dinwiddie was healthy, we'd be pretty damn deep. Now, we're still pretty damn solid outside of our 3 stars. Just a big hole at C.

I’m not a fan. Too many picks plus our young good players. I’m kinda done.

Elite trade by Marks. We landed a second top 5 player, giving us a trio of top 10 players and protection against the situation where Kyrie is out longer or retires.

Levert people love but 2 weeks ago were saying "he sucks". people killed prince since he got here. Allen was a guy last year people wanted benched or cut for Claxton.

These are role players

Those swaps, half or all wont convey. the 4 non-swaps half will be non-lotto.

unless Kyrie or Harris are in there it highway robbery. if harris in there it hurts but its still a good deal.

I will not care about our past disagreements and just enjoy this moment with you and Nets fans :)
LET"S GO!!!! OMG this is a dream!

The fact that those picks don't have protections is the thing that has me feeling nervous about this.

We'll need to definitely restock some depth.

We acquired James Harden and didn’t give up Joe Harris or Dinwiddie (injured or not) is pretty damn impressive.

Remember, Tyler Herro was worth more than our ENTIRE package?
