I'll just agree to disagree...Rockets wanted the deal done today and there leverage was to play philly against the nets...who blinked first.

I think it also makes sense they didn't love the allen and levert package (which was reported as well) since they shipped both to other teams for players/picks they wanted.

you just never know...you make ball dominant guys catch and shoot guys sometimes it doesn't go exactly how you plan it.

Flipping Lavert and Allen was always an option and it was easy peasy as they have reasonable contracts and not 30 mil plus like Simmons.They picked up Oladipo and already have Wood so don't need Allen. Now they got all those picks to use in trades to upgrade the rest of the roster. The Nets deal was always better

I am agreeing with you. I think the nets deal made more sense for the rockets. I'm saying that they leaked that simmons was inolved in the deal so the nets would give them everything they had. If there was no pressure that the philly offer on the table what would be the incentive for the nets to give up levert, allen, and 8 draft picks (4 1sts and 4 swaps) Nets put there final best offer which was the whole team outside of KD and Kyrie. Rockets did a good job.
