If Kyrie sits out, what are the Nets’ options? Can’t they find a way to get their salary cap back? Can they invalidate the contract? I can see them going that way. They will need depth and with Kyrie on the books, it will be difficult.

someone said they might be able to invalidate the contract. but i think with deandre, harris, durant & harden's deal it doesn't open up any cap space anyway.

According to Stephen A earlier, voiding the contract could be an option if this lasts a few more weeks.
