Once again terrible deal for Houston imo.

- great move by Pacers and Cleveland.

And BRK goes to finals, impossible to stop such offensive firepower of durant/harden/kyrie + harris

I've thought about it. Houston was boxed in, but I'm with you. What is the centerpiece asset here? 2 of those picks are almost guaranteed to suck (Nets and Bucks 2022). The first pick swap already super unlikely (Nets 2021). Rockets are set to be terrible for a while, and would be lucky to even get one of the other three swaps. And the 3 other Nets FRPs are Houston betting against two MVPs plus Kyrie, on a team willing to eat lux tax pain.

With Harden taking a flamethrower to his own trade value, I think you do it anyway, due to the at-bats theory where enough trips to the plate eventually result in a home run, but it is entirely possible that Houston doesn't even get a top 25 pick out of this.

That's bruuuuutal.

Regardless not a good day for the East. No one in the East is going to beat Brooklyn. The owners are completely powerless and plays just point to where they want to play and the owners put them there. This doesn't happen on any other sports league and the NBA is an absolute joke at this point.

More pressure on the owners to build properly and not take stars for granted. Sort of a good thing

It's not a good thing because no matter what the owners do players will just dictate where they want to go or team up leaving the season pointless for 28 other teams. No other sports has the buddy ball mentality.

I don’t get it. Couldn’t the Celtics do the same thing and trade Smart, Rob, and like a billion picks like the Nets just did to get Harden? I don’t know why Houston took that Nets deal, bunch of garbage late first round picks isn’t going to help that team.

Hopefully Nash gets on board with what I assume their big three want the system to be. Durant plays 5 on 1, then Harden plays 5 on 1, then Kyrie plays 5 on 1. Rinse and repeat all game.

This makes sense. Nets will always have three units, always with fresh legs.

How long can Kyrie stay silent?

Feel like he needs to validate the trade soon or to me it comes off as a denouncement.

What a package LOL, and people wanted to include Brown. If Ainge selected some good players should be enough to have him as celtics player now.

I'm totally fine with this. The Nets are already dysfunctional and bad at defense. I don't see how this changes that. They will win games with pure top end talent but in the long run I think they beat themselves.

Glad we still have Jaylen.

Seems like the Nets are the ones who need a big now. Without Jarrett Allen they have old DeAndre Jordan and that's it.

Awful deal for Houston but Harden put them in a position of weakness. Players run this league and it sucks. I just hope the Nets can beat the Lakers in the finals.

So I guess eating Prince was a requirement for landing Allen from Cleveland. Still a great deal for them. I would have loved Ainge to find a way to get Allen.

Implications for us:

Nets are a juggernaut house of cards.

Cleveland needs to move a big man. Could we nab Nance? Could Drummond just get straight up cut at some stage (can't see his bloated salary getting traded)?

Oladipo likely bolts Houston after this year. They shouldn't keep him. Could he be a rental option to fix our wing issues?

I have such a love/hate relationship with the NBA. This is the love. What the actual ****. Craziness.

Nance probably isn't going anywhere, he's on a cheap as **** deal and he's such a good player. Drummond is expiring and useless, McGee is just filler. I'm sure Cleveland extends Allen in the offseason and they'd love to be able to trade Drummond for literally anything. I'd take McGee in a second, I think he's a perfect role player on a good team, but someone who looks like trash on a bad team.

I don’t think you’ve seen Deandre Jordan this season. That guy couldn’t guard a statue right now.
Seriously look at their bench.

Jeff green may be starting for them.

Bruh.

Who is even their starting PG now? Harris?

Who knows if kyrie even wants to ball anymore

I don’t understand this from Philly’s end.

This was your last chance to swap out Benjamin before the full exposè.

Now you’re guaranteed to never make it out the 2nd round (clearly behind C’s, Bucks & Nets) & maybe not even the 1st (if Miami wasn’t just bubble luck).

Unfortunately they’ve got Morey, so we likely can’t get in on the Embiid sweepstakes when he demands out this summer (without giving up true assets anyway).

I don't think we have the locker room to keep Javale's head on straight.

My immediate reaction was maybe, but I don't think the upside is worth having to watch him potentially shaqt a fool.
