Ben Simmons best offers

Post#1 » by nolang1 » Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:52 pm

Maybe the 76ers are going to go on as if nothing happened, but it could be significant that he was definitely offered for Harden after it seemed like he wasn't going to be. With Houston eliminated as a Simmons destination, which other teams might want to acquire him?

I think Wolves would and should empty the asset cupboard for Simmons.

I don't think Philly is going to pivot to dump Simmons nor do I think he is going to demand out over any of this.

Fox for Simmons. Kings have the 3pt shooting to surround Simmons. Fox gives Embiid another legitimate scorer and lead PG next to him.

Yes, anyone who's not completely naive would understand that.

The truth is that it is hard to find good trades for Simmons. Harden was the rare exception in terms of talent and position. I dont really think Beal makes that much of a sense to be honest. Maybe something around Kawhi if the Clippers implode.

I'm not saying Morey flat out refused to discuss him in a deal, but to try and talk definitively about it based on media leaks?

If Culver and Green played at the same time so the Bulls had 6 on the floor that would be a severe drop to get two stinking 2nd round picks

I'll be honest. Other than the Lowry and McCollum posts, these are far from the most insulting offers this board has ever generated.

I don’t see why Chicago would do this.

Again, you would be have to be completely naive to think that it was a one-sided discussion if it got to the point where the Sixers were looking for other draft picks to send the Rockets in lieu of Maxey. Like I said in the OP, maybe Simmons is fine with it and understands it's part of the business (although I'd be inclined to guess no based on how he's played recently), but even if you are, there's no way he himself is naive enough to think that he wasn't offered for Harden.
