So we've had a Capitol riot, Trump getting impeached again, new COVID strains, the Browns & Bills each winning NFL playoff games, James Harden is a Brooklyn Net...and we're not even two full weeks into 2021....

Oh boy.

Obviously Kyrie pulled this crap, so the Nets would be forced to get Harden...Now he'll come back and be a happy player.

I'd take McGee in a second, I think he's a perfect role player on a good team, but someone who looks like trash on a bad team.

I don't think we have the locker room to keep Javale's head on straight.

My immediate reaction was maybe, but I don't think the upside is worth having to watch him potentially shaqt a fool.

That Javale was like ten years ago. He's not leading fastbreaks by himself anymore. He dunks, he's mobile, he even maybe is developing a three point shot. I like him a lot, but I guess Celtics don't really need him necessarily with Theis/Williams/Thompson.

This was your last chance to swap out Benjamin before the full exposè.

Now you’re guaranteed to never make it out the 2nd round (clearly behind C’s, Bucks & Nets) & maybe not even the 1st (if Miami wasn’t just bubble luck).

Unfortunately they’ve got Morey, so we likely can’t get in on the Embiid sweepstakes when he demands out this summer (without giving up true assets anyway).

Doc is a believer in BS.

I think the other thing is that Houston probably asked for even more from Philly than was reasonable (Simmons, Maxey, multiple picks). It's like when the C's had all the BKN picks and every reported trade had us moving all of them just because we had them. I think GM's tend to get greedy and with Morey's history with HOU, I think they'd have rather not done a deal that set Philly up for a Harden/Embiid duo.

I don’t think you’ve seen Deandre Jordan this season. That guy couldn’t guard a statue right now.
Seriously look at their bench.

Jeff green may be starting for them.

Bruh.

Who is even their starting PG now? Harris?

Who knows if kyrie even wants to ball anymore

Kyrie is the starting PG. Along with Harden and KD, both ball handlers. Add in Harris and Jordan. Shamet and Jeff Green on the bench. Dinwiddie back at some point next season. Buyouts and ring chasers will follow.

You’re overthinking it lol. If I told you Miami would Win the East at the start of last season, you’d probably laugh as well. But shooting kills. Scoring kills. Experience kills.

Yeah this is extremely disappointing.

Like the Nets might struggle with the Lakers only because LeBron is the GOAT but he's also 36. They'll roll past anyone else.

And while our core wouldn't be as talented, we'd have 0 chemistry concerns rolling out a

Kemba
Brown
Harden
Tatum

4 man lineup. Don't get me wrong that's not a GS Warriors level team when they were the cheat code... but **** man it's not that far off.

Curry
Klay
KD
Green

Again I'll take the team with 2 MVPs over the team with 1 but holy **** come on. It isn't like our picks would be worth **** anyways going forward. Look what our late firsts have got us. Jack ****. One Pritchard every 8 years?

That Javale was like ten years ago.

I'd say closer to 5 and for 4/5 he was with the Warriors or LeBron. I'm not saying that he'd definitely revert back, but just that it'd be a consideration for me.

If he gets cut and is up for the vet min, sign me up.

If we sign&traded Hayward for Oladipo before season we could get Harden today for Dipo and 4.picks ;)

Boogie was absolutely going to whoop his ass

They really traded for Wall and signed Boogie going into a season where they were basically just hoping the locker room would hold together long enough to retain some leverage. That's hilarious.

Just flat out disappointing. Didn’t really want Harden but him being traded to the Nets looks like making the East incredibly uncompetitive.

We are going nowhere.

They'll get buyout guys at the deadline I agree.

Harden is a proven assist maker so I imagine they'll run majority of it through him and you can't really double him with KD and Irving out there.

Irving is the wildcard here, I mean it seems like no one knows what's going on (not sure I buy the reports of him wanting to sit out the season) but he's an extremely weird guy....he could do it? Or he could come back and be locked in.. he also usually gets pretty banged up come playoff time so maybe it's good he sits out a while and just saves it for when it matters?

Either way, it's a very popcorn.gif trade and I personally can't wait to see how it plays out this season.

The rockets are 3/6 and nets 6/6. They have some major name power now but it is way too soon to crown them. Kd could blow a knee and kyrie retire

Our window opens in 2-3 years, IMO. Lakers are too good and the Jay's need a bit more seasoning. BK possibly being a strong #2 (let's wait and see on that) to the Lakers doesn't really change our championship odds. It's all about getting a 3rd guy that can be a high level all star in 2 years to play alongside Jayson and Jaylen.

Not sure why so many are bummed out.

Maybe Brooklyn will figure out defense and dribble their way to a championship, but ehhh.

They’ll be back in the gutter before you know it.
