Even I appreciate Reggie for doing his entire career in Indy. Sucks that this kind of turnover will probably be the Pacers' norm for awhile. I don't blame you for not wanting to buy anything new. Interestingly, Nets Lakers would be a 20th anniv Finals series, despite it being the Kidd Nets. To help that fact, Kidd would still be present in the arena. That doesn't happen on 10 n 20 yr points too often.

Rockets fans, or really anyone, quick question:

If you're Houston, would you rather have Oladipo or LeVert?

I would've thought LeVert was the play, but maybe Oladipo is more of a sure-thing and/or the age timeline better matches? Or is it just the contract terms for the owner.

Oladipo is a better "Win-now" piece, which the Rockets need to do since OKC owns all of our picks so we can't tank. That, coupled with the expiring contract which saves the owner money really is what makes the swap a no-brainer from the Houston side, even if LeVert is a better player in the long-term.

8 firsts though, thats a lot. Houston actually came out of this ok to be honest. Oladipo + Exum and picks is pretty decent. The Cav's somehow got really good value out of this (Jarrett Allen is a fantastic get for them for only Exum, i'm salty we didn't come in and do something similar cause jarrett allen would be fantastic for us).

No idea what Indiana are doing, then again maybe as a first option he'll lift to be a 25PPG first option given how he's played in more limited minutes for the Nets.

I'd put good money on Houston letting Dipo/Exum walk this offseason. Fertitta has a repeater tax coming his way if he doesn't shed some $ and that guy can't afford to keep the lights on in the arena.

Oladipo was likely gone after this season and they got a more consistent outside shooter so I like it for the Pacers.

Forever? You expect the Nets to still be good 5 years from now? Are you even sure they will good in 22-23? All 3 are FAs in 22. Kyrie and KD have bounced on their first 2 teams.

Owning almost a decade of a teams picks is great value. The Warriors were world beaters 2 years ago and ended up with the number 2 pick last year. The Rockets are likely going to get multiple lottery picks out of this.
