The nets will either implode or championship appearance. They will not beat the Lakers. Maybe next season when ring chasers hop on.

Are we hard capped? I thought we had about $21m before we hit that?

Could we take Dipo into the TPE?

Could be the answer to all our wing problems.

Kyrie is the starting PG. Along with Harden and KD, both ball handlers. Add in Harris and Jordan. Shamet and Jeff Green on the bench. Dinwiddie back at some point next season. Buyouts and ring chasers will follow.

You’re overthinking it lol. If I told you Miami would Win the East at the start of last season, you’d probably laugh as well. But shooting kills. Scoring kills. Experience kills.

They'll get buyout guys at the deadline I agree.

Harden is a proven assist maker so I imagine they'll run majority of it through him and you can't really double him with KD and Irving out there.

Irving is the wildcard here, I mean it seems like no one knows what's going on (not sure I buy the reports of him wanting to sit out the season) but he's an extremely weird guy....he could do it? Or he could come back and be locked in.. he also usually gets pretty banged up come playoff time so maybe it's good he sits out a while and just saves it for when it matters?

Either way, it's a very popcorn.gif trade and I personally can't wait to see how it plays out this season.

As long as KD (another weird guy) knows what’s going on.. and Kyrie puts on a Jersey come playoff time.. that’s all that matters.

Jeez this is more serious than I thought. I thought Lyrie just wanted a few games off

I don't understand why Irving is even sitting out. Is he standing up for something or not standing up for something?

Brooklyn lost two crucial rotation guys and while I think Irving will be back if by some miracle he sits out the season the nets depth chart is non existent.

Since Nets-Celtics trade in 2013:

BOS - 3 ECFs, 1 ECSF, 2 1st rd, missed playoffs once
BKN - 1 ECSF, 2 1st rd, missed playoffs thrice

I'd trade for Dipo or Nance. Maybe Tucker for cheap.

I'd pick up a bought out McGee or Drummond too.

If we can snag a piece in the background here I'd be really happy.

Need to figure out who the Nets are targeting in the buyout market. Then we just trade for that player before a buyout occurs. Lol

It's gonna to be Andre Drummond. Cleveland doesn't need him and he is expiring.

The thing that killing Danny right now is trading for Kyrie Irving imagine if we had Collin Sexton and his pts 25.1 as trade bait or Jayson Tatum 26.9 Jaylen Brown 26.3 Collin Sexton 25.1 I know Collin gets garbage points but he would have made a better trade package for someone like Bradley Beal plus Kemba Walker contract wouldn't be on the books.

This was your last chance to swap out Benjamin before the full exposè.

Now you’re guaranteed to never make it out the 2nd round (clearly behind C’s, Bucks & Nets) & maybe not even the 1st (if Miami wasn’t just bubble luck).

Unfortunately they’ve got Morey, so we likely can’t get in on the Embiid sweepstakes when he demands out this summer (without giving up true assets anyway).

Doc is a believer in BS.

I think the other thing is that Houston probably asked for even more from Philly than was reasonable (Simmons, Maxey, multiple picks). It's like when the C's had all the BKN picks and every reported trade had us moving all of them just because we had them. I think GM's tend to get greedy and with Morey's history with HOU, I think they'd have rather not done a deal that set Philly up for a Harden/Embiid duo.

Benjamin, Maxey, Thybulle + picks is a fair deal for MVP Harden.

Especially versus setting the team back even further in the East AFTER BEING SWEPT IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS A YEAR AGO.

Idk. They’re just amazingly always one step behind.

The Process = sleeping at the wheel, I guess

Tucker perhaps. Cleveland, imo, will move Drummond.
Good assessment:

Fultz trade more than makes up for it. Can't win them all. Was solid value, Kyrie is just a nutcase.

Even trading Simmons ain't too bad of an idea. Simmons and Harden don't fit AT ALL anyways. Simmons is a ball dominant, barely average scoring PG in a PF/C body. To me Harden/Curry/Green/Embiid might be the favs to win the East, tbh. If they can keep Thybulle, they probably would.

My thoughts on Harden trade:

1. Not sure the Nets actually got better considering who they gave up, fit, and chemistry.

2. Why couldn't AInge top what CLE gave up for Allen and Prince? Would've been great addition to the bench. I can't believe he wouldn't have traded at least 2 1st rounders for those players.
