This has no relevance to this thread but I can't stand him on CNBC. He always plays the woe is me card with his restaurants.

I loved that team mural in rockets arena. Fertitta was the vocal point and by far the biggest figure on the mural. Tells about his attitude. Also vicious supporter of you know who...

This has to be one of the worst superstar trades of all time.

Simple answer is Yes. Yes he is. You just have to look over at OKC on how to keep on being a playoff team and build off your assets. Even Billy Donovan left and they plug in their G-League coach for player development. OKC will eventually trade George Hill & Al Horford at the deadline and continue to build with more picks and young players. Presti playing chess, eventually they'll strike gold and possibly get back to a Finals in the near future.

He is pretty bad. Honorable mention though being Tom Gores of the Pistons for having a braindead 8th seed or bust philosophy for the past decade as well as exploiting prisoners.

Dolan and Sarver are worse but Fertitta is not far behind.

Make me wonder why he doesn't just sell the team.

Obviously it's not peak time to sell, but I suppose he could at least get his money back, something he likely needs due to relying on restaurants, hotels, and casinos (ouch).

Sabotaging the team through cost cutting moves is not exactly a great way to endear yourself to the community.

You do realize the Rockets just netted 4 1sts and 4 swaps in the Harden deal, right?

While still fielding an injury prone but objectively talented team with 3 former All NBA guys, a former 6th man of the year, and an up and coming big who might be in the MIP running?

Now I hardly think this is all Fetitta's doing, but before we go on and on about how great the other owners are doing, perhaps a realistic assessment of the state of the Rockets might be where to start.

They also owe their own picks to the Thunder, two of the former all-nba guys are shells of their former selves and the other just leaked that he wants to be somewhere else. But yes, Christian Wood is looking good. Maybe they can build a team around him, Gordon, and a bunch of picks in the high 20's over the next several years.

I honestly think he took on Oladipo instead of Simmons or Allen/Levert because his primary objective was to get under the tax this season and shed salary for the next. Between McNair and Tilman, the Houston sports teams have entered a not so fun era.

Way to soon for him to have that title. There are owners with a much longer body of work proving they are complete BS.

They weren't going anywhere anymore with Harden. It was time to cut the losses, and at least he respected what Harden had done for the city to send him to where he wanted.

Houston ran it's course, it was time for a restart. I do not understand not taking Allen and Levert for myself though.

He’s pretty impressive. He managed to go from a WCF team to a rebuilding team without control of their draft picks in a little under 2 years. He also managed to alienate and piss off Harden, Morey and D’Antoni is the span of one season. And to top it off he got back one of the worst returns for a MVP player that we’ve ever seen.

I'm sorry if this video brings pain:

;ab_channel=UrinatingTree

There's so much pain in this video:

-Astros winning the World Series then being exposed for the biggest scandal to plague baseball since the Black Sox scandal. Using technology to cheat in baseball(how?!) with garbage cans. Then the idiot players and Robert Crane have so much egg on their face and instead of MLB taking away the trophy and making an example of the team like the way the NBA did to the T-Wolves or NCAA did to SMU in pony gate, Rob Manfred refers to the trophy as a scrap of metal and does nothing.
-Tightwad Tillman entering the game and banishing the Rockets' titles aspirations into the shadow realm in the name of saving money and pissing off players and the fan base in the process.
-Houston's legacy in the NFL. From the luv ya blue Oilers being taken away by Bud Adams b/c his ego got hurt to the Texans(really? they should've went with Toros. More marketability) plus the eternal buttchin that's Bill O'Brien letting go of nuke Hopkins for nothing.

Texans need to rename their team to Toros and try to adapt a colour scheme similar to the Oilers(love those colours!). And stop hiring Patriots coaches. Most of them are useless outside of the hoodie.

The McNairs do suck. Don't forget that Jim Crane threw Hinch and Lunhow under the bus.

Harden is at the epicenter of all the bad moves prior to recent weeks. And you're blaming the owner? WTF
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

That move was the only questionable but even that you could get a pick or 2 from a desperate contender like GSW.
You dont want Allen/Levert ruin the tank and go competitive from 2024 so its a decent plan aside from tax savings.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Tilman has officially surpassed James Dolan as the worst ownership in the NBA.
World's biggest Kobe Bryant fan.

He has a great start but he doesn't have the longevity to be considered the worst.

I would say Dolan is the worst.
