The Ringer did have a thing about Hayes being #1 for them.

Not saying Mobley isn't great or doesn't have franchise changing potential but it's going to take years before we can judge

One person at the Ringer had Hayes number 1 the guy who wrote the draft guide Kevin O Connor. Regardless I'm just sharing interesting draft articles here since its the prospect thread. Either way Mobley is way better then any prospect in last years draft.

True it was KOC

Think the top 5 or 6 in 2021 would have all been picked above the top 3 in 2020.

Ball maybe the only one to enter into the discussion

Tjarks is a way better basketball mind than KOC... I've been following Tjarks for a long time.

I really saw Cade/Mobley as 1A/1B... but Tjarks really got me thinking about moving Mobley to 1.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Think it's hard to go wrong with either

The top 5-6 look quality and if we ever hope to be anything any time soon we need to land one of them.

Grant, Bey, Jackson, Hayes, Stewart etc might be nice but none are going to get us into contention.

Imagine all those guys with Mobley or Cade as the big fish

Think we're in a really good place now as a franchise where we can finally land a franchise player.

Been a long long time

Every tank contender lost yesterday so we're dead last waiting for Raptors to play b2b Hornets.

Great news the game against Wizards is postponed so that it's avoiding Casey to get a win playing the vets.

Kinda feel like your leaning towards him as your #1, I'm torn between him and Cade.

I still have Cade 1 but its closer now than it was. I'm thinking its more of a tier 1 right now with Mobley Cade. Then tier 2 is Suggs and likely the two stud Gleague guys. Obv the Gleague guys could fall or even rise to tier 1.

Do you think Mobley is a PF or C prospect?

If PF, drafting him just adds to the clutter.

If C, then I’d be extremely interested

Hopefully Raptors continue to suck and then decide to just tank it out. I know it won't hold up but their 2nd rounder we own is currently the 32nd pick

I would say hes a Center. He likes to post up and protect the paint but can pretty much score from anywhere. He just needs to add some mass going up against NBA bigs down low.

Hes definitely not some wing/forward type 4 you see today though. Think more like Pau Gasol.

Man I saw Mobley earlier in the year against Uconn and he looked bad.

Bouknight was the guy who looked like an NBA player. Mobley got dominated by the Uconn bigs and are any of them considered draft picks?

I will try to watch another game of him.

I've watched about 5 games of his (not start to finish but good chunks) and he's butter soft and looks tentative lots of times. He's skilled without a doubt but he has a long ways to go to be ready to physically match with NBA players. The Pistons desperately and I mean, desperately, need players with a killer mentality a player who wants to be the alpha.

Cunningham, while cerebral, is the type of guy who wants to have the ball in the big moments, Suggs without a doubt is a guy filled with swagger. Apparently Green has this mentality too. Mobley looks like a background character to me and I know he's real young but this mentality is usually inborn and I don't see it with him. Really skilled guy but I don't like the fit here.

Yeah now that I've watched a ton of prospect videos, and breakdowns I agree that Cade is perhaps the best looking one right now. He has excellent court vision, and if Hayes pans out, that woukd give the team two playmaker on the floor, and both are big gaurds, Cade even more so.

I also like Green as well. He has that something that could make him an explosive scorer in the NBA. That's not something I see out of Cade, but Green could be a perfect complement to Hayes as well, again if Hayes pans out. He looks like he could be an easy 25 night in and night out, and 30+ when needed.

Depends on what your looking for I guess. I woukd love to draft top 3 in both upcoming drafts for sure though. Problem is, you at one of these two guys, and with some other trades, this team could get better real quick.

I'm more excited to watch Suggs and Gonzaga right now then the Pistons lol. Kispert is also moving up the boards quick into the lottery

This is a really good year for NCAA hoops. First off we got a top pick coming and the prospects are awesome. Then Michigan has a top tier team.
