And who should we give up? Poole? BTW, Gordon isn't cheap...he's a 18M/yr with 4 yrs left.

I feel like the only way you can make this work is if you have one of your three superstars run with the second unit and dominate lesser competition (which, lol, good luck getting any of those guys to accept that role). Otherwise, it just doesn't seem to me like there are enough touches for three ball-dominant superstars to share, especially when all three have iso tendencies. Plus, does anyone on that team play defense?

I have it:

1) Cavs
2) Pacers
3) Brooklyn strip club scene
4) anyone who bet against the Nets
5) Nets
6) Rockets
7) Steve Nash

You both forgot OKC. OKC won this deal.

Kyrie’s role has changed from Robin to Alfred

Kyrie probably still thinks he's better than KD & Harden

The Rockets can take the Nets pick 7 straight years.

I don't get people thinking those picks are all going to be "at the bottom of the 1st round". KD and Harden are both in their 30s, the team has NO depth and no assets to add quality depth. Harden may be the teams 2nd best defender, but he's supposedly out of shape. Kyrie is looking at a suspension. This team is not done making moves, but even so I think they don't make the finals in this form. Next year they could be very good just out of spite.

To repeat ... 7 straight years the Rockets can use the Nets pick!

The Rockets clearly made some of the moves not to get better but to get less expensive. LeVert for Dipo and Allen for a pick were about saving money.

We are still better than them when Klay gets back next year. Wiggins emergence as a defender changes everything

Ha! I was about 12 days off but I KNEW this was going to happen! Someone got their feelings hurt.
Wonder what the Nets will do once Harden starts going maskless to strip clubs....
KD wishing he stuck with it in GSW where the real professionals are...

One way or another this will get ugly for the Nets. Even if Kyrie is there, how do they match up against elite wings and bigs? Durant is going to be dealing with a whole lot of foul trouble.

That's not to mention that they will almost definitely be playing Harden ball now. If I'm not mistaken, they are one of the league leaders in pace and that is definitely not how Harden plays. They now have two players who want the ball in their hands to thrive. I'm not saying it will be a disaster, but any way you slice it they will have cohesion issues.

Its not as if the Nets are running some egalitarian motion offense or something, its going to be the proverbial "my turn, your turn" on a level that we haven't seen. Durant will end up being the third banana, which might get messy because all told he is the best player on the team and the centerpiece of the roster. Yikes.

And that's not even to mention defense. They don't have any quality bigs (DeAndre Jordan sucks and just got benched). They have a few so-so perimeter defenders but nothing to write home about and there is such a logjam at the point and wing that those guys won't play much anyway.

So all told, they gave up their entire future for a fundamentally flawed team that they are locked into until at least 2022. Its a tough look, but they'll win some games and certainly be an interesting watch.
Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Harden, assuming he gets in shape, should be the primary ball handler and Kyrie should work off ball.

They might get it together for one year. But long term prognosis has to be shaky

Just imagine the looks they give each other when it doesn't go well in the playoffs.
