By the way, just for no reason at all, fun fact:

Knox has played just over half as many minutes as Randle this year, yet has twice as many blocks

Carry on.

keldon and vassell look like a really nice off/def combo. With Dejounte they might have something there.

Randle actually has a pretty solid DFG% around the rim. -7.5% compared to -7.9% for Mitch on similar attempts

Just doesn't have the length or verticality to block most shots

I just thought the stat was neat.

Randle has been a revelation defensively this year. From being horrendous to actually pretty good. Hoping it lasts for the season and not just a small sample size.

Nurkic fractured his wrist, send them Julius for Covington and Collins, please give them their smallball 5.

I'm all for trading Randle on top of his game, but we don't need those players.

There are great and feasible targets out there. I mentioned Sacramento before, but there's clearly a lot more.

In contrast to last year, there are now teams with a use for him.

Houston now has tons of assets and a gap next to Wood.

Minnesota is thin up front and KAT hadthe ability to stretch the floor for Randle.

Denver is struggling and rely on merely Millsap and Green at PF.

Curry needs help with the scoring.

Dallas has a dear need for Randle, but they have nothing to offer.

And so on ...

I hear you... Randle has raised his value tremendously so far this season. If we're serious about a tank, then, sure, you trade him for the best package. Otherwise, he can be part of the core. Mitch + Randle + RJ + Knox (improving!) + Quickley is a decent start, man. And we got cap + picks to keep on improving.

gonna need to see some real hunger from the bench

well payton played 33 minutes last night and had 11 shot attempts(3-11), quickley played 22 minutes and took 15 attempts(7-15), not really how many more attempts they'd like him to put up for that to be considered more aggression than payton

Quickley is a rookie. Rookies are inconsistent. They lack experience. They use to not be prepared for other teams' schemes variations. They are not prepared for the tough NBA routine of traveling, training, and playing with pain. It's easy to get some good games. But its hard to keep playing well. Especially at PG position when we have to control the pace if the game. Especially when you have a small frame and got injured in his first game.

However, I root for Quickley to receive more and more playing time and to conquer eventually the starter position.

To be fair we had just drafted the long term PF of the team future  and we been drafting PFs since

KP is a 5 long term though. Should’ve just let Aldridge play the 4. Phil Jackson is a idiot

We didnt have a reliable player to play 5 at the time and no money left after signing Aldridge. So eventually Aldridge would be obligated to play 5.

Besides, we had just drafted KP as PF. He could not play Center at the time due to his frame.

he terrible guarding in space (i have acknowledged that). But you can play him at small ball 5 because he can protect the rim.

And if he's dropping 27-15-3 on good efficiency you will take that. He's making peanuts compared to his production.

He would compete with Mitch for the starter center position.
