I'd like to see the Wolves go all-in for Beal.

At 27, he is still young enough to fit into our core.

Come March 5, we could offer Edwards, Beasley, and Culver, which I think would be competitive with what most teams can offer.

Cavs new Bigs rotation:

Jarret Allen
Drummond
Love
McGee
Nance

We need to call them for Nance and or Mcgee asap lol. Unlikely til might wanna try Nance, but I rather have McGee for cheap, then Ed Davis. We need a big body who is capable when kat is injured/sitting out.

Allen is the future C after Drummond leaves this season.

Nance is Love injury insurance. He would be perfect for us though

Davis has been solid last few games. Not big enough upgrade from Davis to Javale to warrant any real compensation from the wolves especially since he’s on a 1 year deal

McGee is a loose cannon discpline wise, but he is a significant upgrade on Davis for me, for sure. Way bigger, more offensive threat rim running/lob threat, excellent rebounding. Can be abused in pick and rolls, but so can Davis. Only slight advantage I would give Davis is screening, rest I would much much prefer McGee.

But yeah it would depend on the cost difference. I would assume Cavs would be looking to dump him, they have no bigs minutes left ot give.

Edwards & Naz to the Raptors
Fornier to Raptors

Siakam to the Wolves

Elevate JMAc and Vanderbilt to a larger roles, Culver to an expanded true 6th man role.

2022 FRP (Top 10 Prot), otherwise 2023 (Lottery Protected), otherwise conveyed as (2 SRP)

Why ?

HOU gets off ball prospect and future non-lottery player (if Wolves can be relevant in 4 years), MIN gets a competent PF

Tucker is 35 and expiring and will for sure go to a contender after this season. No way we should offer anything of substantial value for him.

Because the Wizards want a logjam at guard instead of a star guard? Doubt that.

Beasley give us enough from the role as a starter. Edwards/Culver are depth guards/apparently maybe depth SF as well.

Okogie adds a lot to this team, but not enough as a starting SF or PF wing. (3pts/3 rebounds/3blocks/5 fouls committed)

Hernangomez got his 5pts, 8 def rebounds and not a single thing else. Compare that to Clarke/Tillman who both scored more (31pts) to Juancho/Okogi (8pts), assisted more (6) to Juancho/Okogie(3), rebounded more (14) to Juancho/Okogie (11), and had more stocks (5) to Juancho/Okogie (3).

The team is basically missing a true starting SF and starting PF until someone different is added or someone steps up in a major way they never have in the past. My suggestion if you want to make a trade? Go find a starting Forward of some type. You could use Edwards/Culver and a pick or Edwards/Culver + Rubio to for matching, or just Edwards + Rubio, etc and get a real forward. The side benefit is Okogie could become a force as a bench guard and use his length as leverage against guards.

He must have egyptian demigod bloodlines for what he's done for Rockets, in the roles he's played at his size. Just too bad he's already 35 and likely won't be happy to come aboard here. Rosas should be tarred and feathered if he gives up a bunch to rent him.

He's shooting well this year but the attempts are down. Obviously still better than anyone we have. But how do you give up assets for a partial year rental? He's 6-5 245 with 6-9 wingspan. I don't know how he's done what he's done in his career. He's unique.

If the Wolves have no faith in Culver's development, maybe ridding themselves of his $6M salary for Tucker makes sense.

I'd trade Juancho for him, not sure why Houston would do it. If they really want culture and identity then guy like Tucker helps a lot.

Tucker would be a huge help but I don't think it's worth it to get him for one season at 35. I will take damn near any starting caliber big who can rebound and defend though. Give me James Johnson back. I really wish we could get Myles Turner and put him next to KAT, which would transform this team.

Basketball reasons aside...

Get rid of a guy universally known as a nice guy who's fun to root for... for one of the Morris brothers. Yuck.

And Morris at $64M for 4 years makes him a building block for this team... in his 30s. With an even checkered history that wouldn't suggest he'll be able to live up to that contract.
