Not happening until KP deal is out. He's taking up 1/3 of the cap while providing literally nothing.

That will change as his minutes restriction ends. He proved again against Charlotte that brings an elite skill to the 4/5 position that pretty much no team except Denver has. Well and the Lakers. KP isn’t going anywhere.

I will take my words back once he's healthy and in-game shape for at least 3\4 of our PO games in 21. So far he hasn't finished one season healthy in his 5 year career so far. I know it's not his fault, but it doesn't make me less frustrated.

That’s fair. And yes he does still have to prove he can stay healthy through the playoffs.

If Jalen Brunson aint it, maybe the Mavs should look at an over-the-hill point guard. Patty Mills, Lowry, Rubio, George Hill?

Rubio would be fun. Mills is also good. Hill has been a negative for a couple of seasons already, was horrid in the PO. Lowry also too old.

Lowrey would be perfect on a 1+1 deal.

Lowry is risky though, he might fall off a clief next season, he'll be 35. Also, I don't like he's style at all, barrelling into defenders and flopping egregiously on every possession, very cringy. We already got Luka who complains after every shot.

Lowry could play the role of Jason Kidd of the championship year. A smart vet who isn't counted on do a lot but just makes winning plays
Psychotic. It didn’t make sense. I don’t know how you make it make sense

I wouldn't mind, we got free money next season and a short deal doesn't hurt. Why hasn't toronto re-signed him though? Like what's up in there? He's the favourite of the fans and stuff.

They need to rebuild or retool. They can't hope to contend with this current group. Lowry still has value for teams ready to contend now.

That’s why I wouldn’t sign him to more than a 1 or 1+1 deal. With that age comes a ton of experience. He’s won a title so that would only add to the culture. He’s a hard nosed PG that would bring toughness and leadership. Every title team has these guys that are former stars or are older than the core of the team. Those guys usually end up being major contributors to a title team. Jason Kidd is a perfect example.

I think Toronto is looking to go younger with their starting PG position.

This is for anyone here that thinks Cuban would consider trading KP. He’s not going anywhere.

Makes sense, they need to readjust their window, they still have some good younger players. I think Siakam can still be a good 2nd option on a contender.

That's an awful comparison, but yeah, they made their bed with KP, now we just gotta hope he's in form when we need him (playoffs).

Luka doesn't need third star. He needs healthy KP and bunch of roll players.

That'll be good for a second round berth. Conference finals at best. KP isn't good or healthy enough to make them contenders as is.

MJ did it without a third star and so did LBJ last year.

I don’t know if you remember but when. Ash was here he was hurt a lot! It seemed like he was out at least once a month with back issues. A lot of that was blamed in his style of play. Also he got cooked in the playoffs by Mike Bibby. Cuban didn’t think Nash would be able to be healthy enough to give another big long term contract to. Also thought his health would only continue to get worse so they allowed him to leave in free agency. He then goes on to win multiple MVP awards. Not saying that will happen with KP but the situations are actually very similar.

Dirk did it without even a 2nd All Star on his team.

Nash only had back issues and he's a 6'3 PG though. KP is 7'3 with lower body ruined, his issues won't go away.
And lol at MJ did it without the 3rd star. He had an extremely stacked team and was an overwhelming favourite every time.

All this 3rd star talk is nonsense. Mavs have got KP just because he was injured. Yes, I would like Kawhi to come in Dallas. But how likely is that? Mavs need to build team around Luka and not wait for some star, who will never come.

To be honest, there's something wrong there.
The body language he has is really bad, he looks way too entitled to me.
Ha needs some step forward in terms of maturity, I hope Dallas will disappoint massively this year, the guy has yet to properly fail in his career and better sooner than later.

Love Luka but 36 points on 30 shots is not that good in terms of efficiency.

How about his defense?
Improved?

Actually, his efficiency was outstanding at HT but then, not for the first time after a huge first half from him, his scoring decreased dramatically and he just couldn't maintain his momentum.
Is it related again to his fitness? I wouldn't be surprised

No he hasn't, when you are getting dominated by Chicago, then you can't have MVP.
