Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

How many more years until he's ready?

Seems to me that Phila fans think that Simmons is not improving at all. For me he is not Morey type of player. He is that franchise player we missing. Other than PWill i would trade literally any combo of our players and threw in max 2 frp if needed. You can get stars via draft, free agency and draft. I would try to keep White&Markkanen because shooting for Simmons. Lavine+Porter+Carter+Satoransky+Young and 2023 first round Bulls pick unprotected for Ben Simmons and Furkan Korkmaz. Simmons White Williams Markkanen Gafford. Valentine Temple Hutchinson frp 2021.

If Philly is going to trade Simmons I'd imagine they'd look to do so in exchange for someone like Beal. Adding 5 players from the Bulls would just be crazy.

And our team sucks once again because we just traded several of our shooters for someone who can't. Our starting lineup will consist of 2 players that can't shoot.
We seem to forget that AK said the Bulls should not be picking 4th in the draft. I don't think he is going to make decisions that make us worse.

Adams & Lonzo for Otto & WCJ

I don't think NO does that deal.

We seem to forget that AK said the Bulls should not be picking 4th in the draft. I don't think he is going to make decisions that make us worse. It is actually opposite because that give us a young superstar at age 23, and we can build arround Simmons after that. We have path to 2 max contracts on 21, top ten pick. We could sign John Collins, draft Bouknight who is very similar to Lavine or sign young upcoming player like Gary Trent and sign couple of cheaper shooters like Burks,Mcdermott,Ellington,Dedmon,Kaminsky for end of rotation. With Simmons you have path to atractt other marque free agents because he is pass first player and great facilitator and way better starting building block than Lavine.

Wall/Tucker for Otto/Lauri/Felico/Valentine
Lauri/Woods could make for an interesting front court for the future. They'd also get a free look at Val. It also frees them from Wall's $$$. For us, IMO, Wall, if healthy (and he looks healthy), would be an interesting PG to pair with Zach.
I read that HOU is motivated to get a top 3 pick because their pick is only top 3 protected. I wonder if they'd give up one of the picks they just nabbed from BKN to get rid of Wall or if they might give up on Woods because he's hurting the tank.

Re: NBA Trade Thread #2
CHI-->PHI: Otto Porter Jr., Lauri Markkanen
PHI-->CHI: Tobias Harris, some combo of young players and draft picks
Main question: which young players/picks would Philadelphia need to throw in to make this worthwhile for Chicago?
Overall logic in my thinking here...
Why for Chicago?:
1. Tobias Harris...: misses very few games, decent BBIQ, hits the 3 at a respectable clip, can create his own shot, has a strong post game, lengthy (similar measurements to Pat Williams), has evolved into a decent defender, athletic... can hold down the other forward spot until the Bulls draft or otherwise acquire the long-term fit there. That contract is a tough pill to swallow, so there needs to be more coming back.
2. OPJ is expiring, so this is the time to get value for him.
3. Lauri isn't durable, and I don't want the Bulls in a position where they have to match an overpay offer sheet or just let him walk.
4. If Lauri is going in the deal, the Bulls don't have any other long-term fits at PF (unless Williams moves there). Harris can hold
that position down as the vet in the starting lineup.
5. Overall strategy here is to eat "bad" contracts in exchange for young/future assets. Standard rebuilding strategy, except Harris is actually a good player (just not as good as he's paid).
Why for Philadelphia?:
1. Get out of that long, expensive contract they gave to Harris.
2. When healthy, OPJ is a reasonable replacement for Harris, and might even be a better fit overall alongside Simmons/Embiid as a plug defender with high BBIQ who doesn't let the ball stick.
3. They get RFA match rights on Lauri, which may not be worth that much, but it's worth something.
4. They get out of that long, expensive contract they gave to Tobias Harris, which is crippling to a title contender. They need to break some eggs to do that though.
So... who else needs to come from Philadelphia for both teams to be on board with this deal?

If PHIL just wants out from under Harris' contract then this is the trade for them. This year they make out OK but they really have to have their eye on someone to sign next summer or they cleared out a significant player just for dollars.
The Bulls would be in great shape for quite a while. I would say there's no problem with with Harris and Williams starting together and matched with Lavine and White in the back court, you've got quite a lineup. This year Valentine, Hutchison and Young are a good bench behind them. The Bulls have a lot of open roster spots coming up next year. To me ideally they get a 3 pt shooting SF and a bigger rebounding PF to come in behind those two, mix and match at the end of the 1st and third, beginning of 2nd and 4th quarters

Harris would be an awesome get, but with Doc there, I don't see them wanting to be rid of him. At this point, I think they'd trade Simmons before Harris (and sign me up for him as well).

Any chance we could pull a Lavine for Haliburton (and some for matching salary)?
Sacto like(d) Zach, they tried to sign him and he hasn't get worse.
Bulls need playmaking badly. That Haliburton kid playing very good in that role with good shooting. The timeline would be better with P.Will. Zachs trade value won't be any higher considering not only his playing but contract. Would he want to be here? For what amount of money?

He is keeper for Sacramento. Realisticlly maybe WCJ and Young for G.Hill, Porter for Powell and Brunson, T.Young for P.Mills, Carter and Valentine for D.Graham, Lavine and Porter for Bledsoe,Hayes and Lakers first from Nola, Porter expiring and Markkanen for J.Wall, Porter and C.White for Westbrook, Lavine and Carter for K.Irving, T.Young and Hutchinson for R.Rubio.

Re: NBA Trade Thread #2
Two trades I'd look at:
Bulls Trade: Otto Porter
Cavs Trade: Andre Drummond
Cavs have too much size, and very little help at the three. Porter is the type of spacer that makes life easier for Sexton. Most believe that Drummond's value is low.
Bulls Trade: Wendell Carter, Thad Young, Felicio
Raptors Trade: Kyle Lowry
The Raptors are currently tied for the second-worst record in the league. Lowry's 34 and about to be a free-agent. He's a Toronto legend, but a season with no fans seems like the perfect time to start the rebuild and Carter gives them a former lotto pick on a rookie contract to evaluate.
Bulls New Lineup:
C. Drummond/Gafford/Kornet
PF.Markkanen/Hutchison
SF.Williams/Valentine
SG.LaVine/Temple/Satoranksy
PG.Lowry/White/Arcidiacano
These trades have their risk. Lowry's old. Drummond has his red flags. Both are going to be free-agents. That said, this lineup is much more dynamic and interesting and in a world where the Heat can make the finals, this team could be dangerous in the playoffs. The biggest hole is the backup 4 spot, but I think Satoranksy could be moved for some depth.
