Around the NBA streets Vol. 7: It's not like I like you or anything! Ibaka!

The funny thing is that the Nets team is not even that great, or comparable to real big 3's we've seen.

Kyrie has been very overrated since he won that championship for the Cavs, even though he oddly doesn't actually get credit for it. He is not even a first ballot hall of famer imo.

Harden is definitely a hall of famer, but has one of the most unadaptable games I've ever seen. Like it is very difficult to play with a player like him. HE will have to adjust his game, and there's no guarantee he will. He's also sloppy as **** this year. He's going to spend much of the season trying to play his bad bodied ass back into shape.

So its going to be a huge challenge making it work, in ways it has never been for any other big 3 we've seen. KD is the only player on that team with pedigree and he's going to have to have impeccable leadership to make it work. That doesn't even get into the fact that he's the only one of the 3 who has played defense in his life. Other big 3's found a way to kind of be centered around defense, or at least 2 of the 3 be very good individual defenders.

All this said, if they trade Kyrie for a star big to anchor their D, no one else is going to make it out of the east unless they face injuries.

My point is that the combination of the 3 them is not too good to fail. Kyrie and Harden are redundant, maybe even competing due to their need to dribble dribble dribble. But Harden is at least a good distributor. Add in Kyrie's emotional problems and he honestly takes away more than he adds. I would look to move him for another all star with a more diversified skillset if I'm the Nets. For instance if they acquired Beal for Kyrie straight up, they'd be more balanced and harder to beat imo.

I’m sorry, but how can a professional athlete who has nothing else is his life to ahead of basketball be this bad at shooting a wide open 3 point shot? It’s one thing for him to continually clank the, but to never shoot and then flat-out air ball?

If he’s really not gonna be able to shoot it, he needs to play more like Heat Bron and operate more out of the low/mid post and use his size to find shooters, or get to the hole.

He's never going to be good at it, but it's better than not taking any. I agree that he has a size advantage, but he will have to improve in that area a lot too. I haven't seen him use power moves as much as you would expect from a guy his size
