Reggie's role is as insurance--to fill in when Bev or Lou is out. He doesn't really play well beside either: Their skills are too similar. His presence in the rotation is redundant, really.

[Same is true for Patterson. Insurance policy only.]
in some ways, Reggie is better than Lou- definitely a better 3 point shooter

Not just last year, but Lob City too--all thought we were gonna shake'n'bake our way to the title, everyone eating our dust and thanking us for it, all the while admiring our style and swagger. But that's kid stuff. This team is all around 30 years old more or less--not young but not old either.

I used the word "mature" for tonight's win and it's a huge compliment, and it's the stuff that wins championships, not flash and fury. Lob City had flash and fury but they lacked maturity, and that's why they never got there.

Sacto remains hapless and pathetic. It's not right for the executioners to show off and give each other high fives.

138 points and only 9 turnovers and Mann had 3 of them. Beautifully boring. Took care of business.

Maybe the team is starting to regain some of it's "blue collar"/"lunch pail" mentality again. That, plus a focused Kawhi and PG, will make for a very interesting playoffs...

I hear you. Ugly day in the market. Lost damn near $2K today myself. That's not too bad though. Too much GME & BB hype

Take a look at SIRC. https://www.goldmanresearch.com/202101041298/Opportunity-Research/raising-target-on-sirc.html

Thanks, will check it out and keep an eye on it.

That's what I get for listening to those autists on WSB... BB I think can still amount to something, I don't know about GME but at least I can say I was involved, lol.

After the COVID crash, I held long enough to get most of it back then took myself out of the game. The few I kept got me to 20% for the year and here I sit. Always remember that playing the stock market isn't like Jeopardy. It's Family Feud. You are not guessing at the facts, you're guessing at what people THINK are the facts.

True... also a bit like poker too... just when you think you have a sure bet (ie. pocket aces), someone else hits a three of a kind on the river...

I bought some meme stocks like GME and BB on Friday. But most of it was energy/electric power stuff that I bought recently. They all tanked on Friday. But then again, they were experiencing some decent gains earlier in the week.

ETF's are definitely a solid play. More than half my portfolio is made up of ETFs (mostly tech). Felt like making my portfolio a bit spicy, so I went with the flavor of the day, which seems to be energy, but it's been a bit spicier than I like, lol.

Like they say, the one thing you can do EVERY night is outwork the other guys. Kawhi IS a lunchbucket player but unfortunately it doesn't seem to rub off on the rest of the team. Bev and Trezz are hard workers but unfortunately their energy is a bit phony and self-serving and doesn't really translate to the other players either.

I was never a big JJ Redick fan but he worked his ass off at least on offense. Can't say that Kennard or Senior are balls of energy so far and we're counting heavily on them. It's such a fine line between scatterass and sleepwalking.

Which brings us back to PG--upon whose surgically-repaired shoulders we've all said this whole thing still rests

PAUL GEORGE THINKS HE’S ON A REVENGE TOUR

by GARY SHEFFIELD, JR
January 16, 2021, 2:15 pm

Clippers forward Paul George did a whole lot of talking last year and very little to back it up on the court. He’s off to a solid start this season and now insists he’s on a mission.

“People saw weakness,” George said. “I’m coming back with vengeance.”

    ...

Averaging 25.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.2 assists is All-NBA level play, and he didn’t have to set the table for his “revenge tour”, either.

What’s most important about Paul George’s season has literally nothing to do with the regular season, by the way. If PG arrives to the playoffs and lays another egg–his revenge tour falls on its face. Again, he would be the laughingstock of the league.

So if Paul George ever gets this message: PG, just play and prepare yourself for what really matters. Your flight to revenge island doesn’t take off until tip-off of game-one round-one.

{I like Sheffield Jr BTW. Been following him since before he landed the Outkick gig.]

Please tell me you got into GME today.. holy ****!! I FOMO a cheap $44c 1/22/21 right before closing on Thursday and man did it print today! Plus I have 30 shares on the side. Those WSB bastards did it again! BB, PLTR, JMIA, and CCIV might be the plays next week

What a crazy day! I only have the 30 shares from last Friday. I haven't done options yet, so I didn't get in on that, but congrats!!! **** Melvin Capital, all hail Deepf*****value, lol.

I guess it's no wonder those WSB autists are going to the moon with their diamond hands... I got a small amount of all 4 of those, and they all popped today. I put a little into NPA as well, it seems like they may have something brewing as well.

The only miss I picked from them so far was FUBO... what a fail that was...

Nice.. Yeah I only do a few options to add to my long holds/shares. I don't go crazy with it. Just start off with one cheap call option to get the feel and hang of it if you ever get the itch to dive into options. But a great day today indeed. Glad you got in on it!

Good idea, I think I'm going to start dabbling with one or two cheapies and see what happens! Too bad there's no rocket smilies on RealGM, lol.
