Tom Thibodeau On Potentially Starting Immanuel Quickley: 'We're Still Evaluating'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:29 pm

Tom Thibodeau said he was still in the process of evaluating whether to insert Immanuel Quickley into the New York Knicks starting lineup.

"We’re working guys back that were out so we’re not into a rhythm yet. We’re still evaluating. So we’ll keep evaluating, we’ll keep working to improve and then we’ll find the best combinations to go forward with.

"But we’re constantly evaluating and talking about who plays well with whom. And if something can help the team, we’ll do it," said Thibodeau.

Quickly had 23 points, five rebounds, and four assists in the Knicks loss to the Cavs on Friday night.

Thibodeau added that "everything's on the table" in terms of shuffling the starting lineup.

Ok Tom, but are you evaluating the situation slowly or quickly? 8-)

Please hurry Thibs, I can't take much more of Elfrid Payton putting us in a hole and our bench having to get us back into the game every single time.

The Knicks have lost 5 in a row. Time to fire him and start the rebuilding process!

I don’t know what more you need to evaluate. You go down by 20 whenever Payton is in and you go up by 10 whenever Quickley is in. This isn’t rocket science.

Thibs needs to be sure Quickly can play 40+ minutes every night.
