Seems about right. I will admit that I am concerned Seku is starting to feel like a G-Leaguer.

I won't say I've given up on Sekou, but I'm getting there...

My god this franchise has done a horrible job adding value through the draft. People talk about trades, free agent signings, etc, but really, this is our single biggest problem.

I agree. They keep telling us that guys have potential and are these long term plays to superstars. IE, said player will be a star in 3 to 4 years. After year two, they look like busts and are dealt for pennies on the dollar (Stanley Johnson).

We have no franchise player or serious young star building block yet so for Weaver it all comes down to getting the draft right which is something we have never really done outside of like a obvious Grant Hill.

If he can just get this franchise one of those then I'll be forever grateful

Mobley is the 2nd best player in the draft, I wouldn't mind taking him but he is not ideal. The guy is still a unicorn. But then they would have to turn and flip Blake expiring next year and get some more pick N roll facilitators to out next to Hayes.

Bey will start at SF, Grant at PF. We will draft a good point guard prospect the next year to come off the bench. Lastly we will throw money at either Bagley or Bamba when they hit restricted free agency, which ever one shows more promise and makes that team think about holding on to them.

Hayes/ Draft pick/Lee
Cunningham/ Jackson/ Svi
Bey/Sekou/Jackson
Grant/Sekou
Bagley or Bamba/ Stewart

This is what I expect this team to look like under Weaver in 2 years, young talented and competitive.

I like that plan. I think Cade could play the 3.

But I like the idea of getting a starting center off free agency. There's quite a few options.

Knowing Weavers Center obsession hes probably targeting Mobley in the draft

Plumlee was pure politics to help boost Blake's value, because Blake can't play Center, Rehab from his injury and possibly look anything like his old self at the same time. When Blake gets traded I suspect that Plumlee isn't that far behind.

Centers are so cheap and abundant is crazy Pistons paid Plumlee so much. Especially ones that arent rim protectors, can't shoot, don't rebound well, aren't fast enough to play defense and get out to the 3 point line. Plumlee has a couple strong talents, but they dont make up for his big problems.

Anyways, hard pass on Mobley, or trade down a few spots if possible. If we get 3 and it goes Cade then Suggs. If the team at 4-5 wants Mobley, trade down and get a 2nd round pick. Take another player and let Mobley go.

Have you watched any tape on this kid? This is pure crazy talk. He has range? Can score at all three level and runs the floor hard and smooth? Not to mention his length and frame. I would take him in a heartbeat if Cade and Suggs weren't in this draft.

Second to the horrid/unlucky drafting is the fact that we never got any value if any back on said draft picks in the last 10 years or so. They've all been developed and incubated for much better teams and or washed out of the league with nothing to show for it on our end. At least with Kennard we traded him away with some value I guess

It's been a death by a thousand cuts like these that has resounding negative effect to which we're at now
