He's so passive when it comes to scoring.

You could argue that he can't.

If he were offered to us I'd decline, I'd rather have Randle at this point.

b/c they passed on Haliburton who is playing great and PG was the biggest need. w/ Randle, Obi is relegated to a bench role, and w/ Thibs playing Randle big minutes, not many minutes left for Obi

Thibodeau playing Randle when we drafted the PF of the future doesn't make the pick bad. When we drafted Obi we really needed a PF and I still think Randle needs to go.

Disagreed. we really needed a PG

Haliburton was the better fit to begin w/ and he's playing great. Obi on the other hand, doesn't have much of a role as long as Randle is here + there are questions about his game. defense was the issue coming into the league but I'm more concerned about his offense. doesn't have many post moves and his 3PT shot has looked pretty bad

I would also move Randle b/c keeping him blocks Obi/selling high on Randle isn't a bad idea. there's a case to be made for the sunk cost fallacy and how they shouldn't just get rid of Randle to prove that Obi was the right pick, but A) I think the FO will want their 1st ever pick to succeed B) I don't like the fit w/ Randle, RJ, Mitch

Except against us, it seems. Either that or he's shutting down our bust scorer. :)

Hmmm good point Randle could actually contribute more in the playoffs if he could even make it there though.

Watching the replay of the BKN game. Their ceiling will come down to shot selection by the superstars and the open shot making of the role players, b/c their passing is top tier.

Good luck guarding the KD harden PnR

I really want to see Steve Clifford get a talented roster so we could see how good of a coach is he. Never really had anything above a basement playoff level roster.

I used to really enjoy going to Nets games when they were in the ABA and I saw a ton of games at the Hempstead Arena and the Nassau Colliseum. Rick Barry, Billy Melchionne, Sonny Dove, Lavern Tart, Billy Paultz, Dr. J, Larry Kenon, Super John Williamson, etc. The gold ol' days. Of course I was never a fan of the NEW JERSEY Nets and never will be. But I must say that watching these video highlights was, eh, um, interesting.

Its been said earlier actually but its lost in the noise. Harden probably use heating pads in that picture inside of his multiple layers. The color also does not help. Unfortunately, they have the same color in Nets too so its really hard to watch. I dislike most of the Nike City edition stuff this year.

Ok, well that makes sense. I just watched highlights of his first game with the Nets and, yeah, he still looks overweight but not as bad as that pic makes it out to be. See? Even I am guilty of rushing to judgment. :D

Even in the playoffs, their offense should be pretty good. Harden is probably the best scorer-creator for the first 40 minutes of the game. KD can do what he does all game. And Irving is great to have at clutch minutes if he's under control. He shouldn't be forcing the issue at the clutch when he has KD-Harden in his side.

I cannot understand why did they give J.Allen though. Their defense is their ceiling IMO. You cannot build up momentum and go on a run if you keep conceding. DJ didn't look good even at Mavs. He can play in the regular season but he'll get cooked in the playoffs.
With this elite offense they should make the Finals. Even without Kyrie, they have a good chance to make it to the NBA Finals. 76ers is not a complete team. Celtics will be limited in the postseason, clutch minutes and they lost their depth too. I am not sure if Bucks can make ECF and the Nets should be able to matchup with them great. KD can limit Giannis to some extend. DJ can keep up with Brook Lopez. Nets should set their eyes for the Finals matchup.
Lebron-AD-Gasol.
A big frontcourt, great depth with Schroder/Morris/Harrell.

J.Allen would be great against this.

He would be sitting on 3-4 titles if not for the injury. He's obviously a better player than LeBron, just look at him. That said, look how crazy good Kobe was. 5 titles are 5 titles after all.

I like the new look Nets. I hated all that black and dark look at Barclays Center. As a Knicks fan, there is some jealously there, but I can't hate because they are playing for NYC. If Kyrie, Durant, and Harden can play well together and eventually win a championship...
You guys can figure out the rest.

Anyway, you guys should check out Undisputed with Michael Rapaport.

Comparing KD’s achievements to some of the other 1st options in this league, I’m really unimpressed. Kawhi passed him in terms of legacy a long time ago.

Screw their freaking list. Tatum doesn’t want to share it with Jaylen. And there are others that are overrated.

RJ and Randle, Quickley and Mitch. Sit back and relax.
