I think his value is team contextual. A contender needing a good C to complete their roster who has assets to spare, like Boston, are probs ideal. He's a finishing piece, not a rebuild foundation piece.

In a deal with Boston I could see 1 of Kemba, Smart, 1 of Pritchard, Neismith, Langford, Williams, Ojelele and 1 pick possibly being offered up.

I don’t want Kemba or Smart. They would make us better. I want to tank.

Could we get Langford AND Nesmith + a 2021 FRP if we take back Tristan Thompson?

Then we need to dump some roster spots or ship out Evan for cash / 2nd rounders.

Can Kemba be flipped to another team, like New Orleans, for some of their pieces?

BOS: Vuc
NOP: Kemba
ORL: Bledsoe + NAW/Lonzo + pick?

Bledsoe can be a short term stopgap PG until Fultz is healthy, and shipped off after that.

Trae Young not shooting much better than Cole.

Yah, he has been awful, and still his true shooting is at 54% vs Cole's 42%.

Pelicans kind of screwed themselves trading for Steven Adams. All that cap space committed to a center. I would say something along the lines of:
Orlando sends Vuc + Ross + a future first for Ingram, with Irving to NO, and Vuc + Ross + pick to Brooklyn.
Seems like we would be stealing all the value.

I think Brooklyn has created a problem at center, but I think they need someone like a young Jordan. Rim runner and lob guy. There are plenty of those types out there pretty cheap. Richaun Holmes would probably be perfect and do even more, but I bet they could get Whiteside for some spare change. He is not good, but he is only $2M, still has some ups. Or maybe they are waiting for Claxton to come back from injury and hope Jordan is good enough.

They've been giving him the superstar foul calls. Cole's 43% ts is going up the last couple games.

9.4 FTA per game at .885 will keep you afloat efficiency wise no matter what.

The freebies are a big part of what makes him so valuable. Just like Harden who is far from efficient. Trae is not as good a shooter as every one makes him out to be. His other skills: handle, passing, finishing, and free throws are where he excels.

Harden at least gets fouled with some force, Trae Young literally , in front of sreen , makes touch with defender with his a** and fall to the ground. Every single time.

But since Casey and Nash went in media and said that it's not basketball what he is doing, refs no longer are being fooled that easly.

It's not secret i never liked a guy ( literally hate his game from college days) but this is pretty much why. Regardless who you put along side him, he will keep highjacking offense and play for his stats. Guy took 7 threes (missed 6 ) prior last few min of a Porltand game than attemped half court shot with 20 seconds on the shot clock. Than turned the ball over by doing another stupidity possession later.
He is like Lillard, just even cheaper- Steph Curry knockoff. Like trailer park Steph Curry.

Guy thinks he is good shooter, media keeps pretending he is great shooter, fans call him new Steph Curry, yet in nba, he is career 33,9% three point shooter. Not even touching league's average.... Guy is as much of a Steph Curry as Aaron Gordon is

This sorry ass FO is just did the same thing they do every year.. roll out the same sorry ass group of Hennigan’s guys, hope to stay healthy, sneak into the 8th seed, and draft another long boi at 15. Only this time the team didn’t stay healthy.

I hope we do get a top pick and WeltHam retire afterwards. Let a young innovative mind who actually wants to be great take over.

Yup, watch us beat the Knicks tomorrow night.

Lose to good teams, beat bad teams. Not good enough to win anything significant, not bad enough to draft premium talent. That's what we'll do.

Point differential wise, the Magic are the third-worst team in the NBA right now.

They're a Vucevic sprained ankle away from like a 15+ game losing streak.

I think we reach 30 losses before 10 wins.

Watching AG limp around last night, makes me think he'll be out tomorrow.

I agree but they will still struggle to outtank Wolves, Pistons and probably Thunder and Wizards. Bulls are Lavine trade from tanking....

You're absolutely right. I looked at tankathon for the first time in a long time last night, and we're not far from a swift tank job. We're only 2 losses less than the Pistons. If the Magic really wanted to, they could easily give themselves top 7 lottery odds.

I'm not sure they'll ever do it until the situation becomes completely lost. Vucevic and Clifford might just keep this team afloat for the play in games. Especially if Toronto never turns it around. The East's 7 and 8 seeds are always going to be in play for whoever wants it strongly enough.

That's thing at some point more teams will tank, this draft is just too valuable. We know our ceiling has been sealed. We should get a head start on these teams, because Cliff is going to win some no matter who is playing for us.

Losing is the only thing that will bring change. We NEED change.
