Semi OT: Norman Powell - New Balance or not

Post#1 » by Dalek » Sun Jan 17, 2021 6:36 pm

I am a bit of a shoe addict, but I noticed Powell's shoes yesterday. They looked like cleanest New Balance shoes with probably my favorite combo of Raptor's colours: black, purple and red.

Here's an image from Twitter:

I went through the New Balance site and looked up future releases and couldn't find anything. Plus, Norm usually wears Kobe's so this was a big difference.

Then I looked closer and thought maybe that is not an NB logo, but an NP (Norman Powell) logo. Norm is famous for his UTG brand, so could this be a new prototype? Is it a custom Kobe? Any sneakerheads that know the answer?

It’s definitely an NP logo and not NB. Not sure what shoe brand those shoes are though

That is kind of dope is Norm got his own shoe. Literally.

From what I understand, he does not have a deal with New Balance.

Understand the time.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I could be wrong, but they look a LOT like the shoes FVV wore last season. And1 Attack 2.0

Time to turn in your shoe addict card.

Spoiler:
just kidding.

Ouch. I wanted to punch the screen when Norm did the "my bad" gesture after that buzzer beater went in at the half. Idiot!
