He seemed hesitant to shoot the three vs. OKC and was just thinking too much, as opposed to playing off instincts - as if he was afraid of the quick hook. I think that 5-min game stint where Thibs never went back to him got in his head, and he was looking over his shoulder for the quick hook.

He needs to shoot the 3 without a conscience and play off his jumper to set up his drive for the floater, instead of the other way around (which is what he was doing vs. OKC - looking to drive to set up the 3-ball).

Lastly, I don't want to hear him talking openly so much about how he looks to draw fouls and studies it. Cuz now it seems the refs are actively not giving him the shooting foul, and are now just calling non-shooting fouls when he looks to initiate contact. Sometimes it's better to just be coy about what you're doing and not speak on schit.

100% my exact thoughts. He’ll be fine though. And I still have faith in Frank.

I am so tired of payton. I am sorry but I hope for some reason payton is off this team or on the bench soon. HE SUCKS. Quickley should be starting. If he starts I gurantee he gets 30 super quick. PAYTON is the problem.

IQ played like schit again. He keeps pump faking and passing up open 3s for worse out of control floaters that are cracking the backboard. His confidence looks gone. I think that 5 min game has really got in his head. Soon as he and the 2nd unit came in against Denver we got blown out.

That could be it. He seems to be processing. Might have gotten a ton of new info too. His drive is screwed though if his three isn't popping.

It is weird watching Maxey after watching Quickley. They have similar idiosyncrasies: spreading their feet wide on jump shots, the extended range on their floater, and the love of their floater. They must be teaching that stuff at UK these days.

I think this is where something is getting in his head. I saw the same thing - He was not taking open 3's, looking tentative, then he takes a bad 3 next time (to almost make up for passing the open shot.)

And don't get me started about Thib's rotations. These guys need a rest, especially the starters when we are losing bad in the 4th.

IQ missed a free throw for the first time in his NBA career after 18 makes and he missed the one that would have given him his first ever 20 point game in the NBA. Bummer.

Read on Twitter

Quickley's floater is ELITE. I know its a pain that he takes them too much, but if he is hitting them at this rate he might as well keep shooting, even if he has some off nights. Would be nice if he could learn to finish at the rim cause if he can draw contact and get to the FT line his scoring game would increase even more.

IQ has the weirdest floater but it works for him, he looks like he's out of control and flinging it up yet it goes down.

Not sure what to think about it....

My stream went choppy at the end so didn't see the last possession and the box score didn't have it right away either.... as soon as I refreshed it the last score popped up but was after I had posted.
