How can the Knicks continue to be so putrid at drafting lottery picks? Obi Toppin seems to have one discernable ability, jumping. He's awful at everything else. Half a game watching him and you can see he shouldn't be in the league. He can join RJ Barrett, Knox and Frank NLetters as the worst set of draft picks by any team by far in the last few years.

Watching my first T'Wolves action this season and it's pretty funny. DLo is so uncommitted on defense, so they surround him with strong defenders like Vanderbilt and Okogie, who can only do so much to cover for him.

Are you guys watching the Bucks vs Nets game?

How can you defend 3 guys you can’t touch in transition? You can see here how the league will have to find a way to call the fouls if they’re playing.

Nets arent stopping any team from scoring (Deandre Jordan’s defense is bad) while teams would try to stop the Nets from scoring but it’s really difficult because of the handcheck. Specially on transition.

The intensity is just bad.

The Nets keeping Joe Harris was so huge for them. Harden is going to rack up assists with the oop option to Jordan and the kick out to Harris, along with having 2 superstar scorers in Durant and Irving obviously.

Bad shot. Illusion the league sells to defenders.

Think about this.. and watch the clip.

You can’t hand check. So you sag a little back.

Players shoot like crazy nowadays.

Some dribbling move creates separation. You step back, thats as good as an open shot nowadays.

This is why Harden scores 1.2 points per possession on those step back.

AD’s got like 7’6” wingspan and 9’ reach.

“But that’s Steph Curry”

Who do you expect to face during the playoffs? Tyus Jones? Hahaha

Look how money Kemba’s stepback was during the playoffs.

It matters in general. But against elite offense and elite scorers, it matters really less.

Just think about it. Seth Curry was such a liability for the Mavs on defense againsy their series with the Clips. But Seth has the highest NetRtg among their guys.

I’d put it this way. To beat your opponent, you need to atleast be nearly as good as their offense. Then make the difference with your defense.

sometimes dudes hit tough shots. Not sure why you are acting like its deeper than that lol. Great players simply hit more of those tough shots.

Not a fan of Wiseman. People get so caught up on how he looks and how he moves. Caught up in the allure of a big, graceful athlete. When you boil it all down, though, he's not a great defender like Embiid and Davis were coming out. And that's the only valid excuse for taking a bigman over a creator.

Passing on LaMelo was inexcusable. He's already an elite defender at age 19 and 180 pounds. Imagine once he fills out. True two-way superstar in the making. The perfect player for Steph to pass the torch to.

Instead, they drafted another big in the Towns/Ayton spectrum of scoring bigs with unexceptional defense.
