Is RJ Barrett a beast?

He’s one of my favorite players in the league, I haven’t been able to watch a ton of knicks games this season, but I saw last game and looks like this game from his numbers (he’s on all my fantasy teams) that he played well again

It seems like he’s trending right after a great first game then horrible slump, am I correct in assuming that?

He had a horrific 4 game slump that is dragging his numbers down. The last 3 he’s back on track to being what I will normally expect - 20 PPG / 6-8 rpg / 3-5 APG with solid defense and 50% shooting.

If he ever hovers around 35% from 3, bump up the PPG and by default, the APG since he’s proven to be a willing passer, especially to the corner 3

Great first game, 4 terrible games (shot 26% from the field, 0-21 from 3), pair of good games, 4 more terrible games (30% from the field, 1-16 from 3), then 3 more good games

If the trend follows, he should have 4 really bad games after this, then 4 good games following that. Good news is, we might get up to an 8 or 9 game streak by the end of the year.

Rj will continue to ascend with IQ being part of rotation again. RJ thrives off of ball movement.

RJ is still a young player whose shot is a work in progress. There will continue to be valleys as well as peaks.

I have not seen RJ play a lot so I'm looking for help. In the games I have seen he seems like a good not great slasher but not a guy that has been consistent from the outside. Is he like Wilson Chandler? Willie Anderson? Paul Pierce without an outside shot? Who would you say had a similar style of play?

Thank you. After being drafted so high I was hoping to see more. Hopefully we all will in the future. I'm rooting for him. Knicks fans deserve some good luck at some point. Its been around 20 years of bad luck.
