Irving: When I was out for those seven weeks and not saying anything and still people are still saying things about me. It's inevitable. They crucified Martin Luther King for speaking about peace and social integration.

Trae just needs to shave whatever is on his head off.
Do like the announcers calling him out. Why would you want to play with a guy who calls his own number from the logo yet doesn't make those shots with any sort of consistency?

Knicks have done a good job building around high-character guys.
I think the downside outweighs the upside on this one.
The organization is toxic enough.
Yup. You can bring in problem kids like that once you've already established a healthy developmental infrastructure. We're still inthe early days of that part.

Cavs are kinda dickheads for this.
Why give away his locker?
These old dinosaurs gotta stop with these mental games to make younger people work harder.
Most of these dudes already coming from all types of fu*ked up situations and you wanna provoke them. Stop it.

That's not the only reason, he has gun charges against him and was replaced by Okoro. He has character issues which is why he went so late in the draft relative to his talent, got suspended at USC for things like this as well.
It isn't just mental games to make him work harder, it seems like he's a terrible teammate.

Looks like I may have been right on Trae Young all along. Inefficient chucker with no defense

I don't know why they thought they could build around him, no matter how good he is on offense just being on the court exposes your defense.

Didn't you agree when I said he might be better than Luka
I don't know about all along, but maybe you being back to square one would be a more accurate way to put it

I hated him in college, then it looked like he was proving me wrong, now he’s back to how I thought he was gonna be

Absolutely not! watched a few videos of Kevin Porter arguing with a security guard. The kid needs to understand the skill set that helped him survive a troubled youth is not the same skill set in the professional adult world. He is a real project that is good for a team with an established culture, strong veteran presence and a team that pushes therapy and self improvement. I actually think Miami would be an amazing team for him if Jimmy Butler was willing to mentor him. But would be worried about Porter's ability to stay professional in Miami
I really hope the kid figures it out because he has all the talent in the world..

It's really annoying that Minnesota is likely going to get another top 3 pick this year to get sucked into the blackhole and rot away. Those guys couldn't win with an entire roster of former #1 picks.

The Timberwolves have had 4 of the last 8 #1 overall draft picks on their roster at some point
Granted, they only got 2 in the lottery and traded Love for 2 more, and one of those was Anthony Bennett, but still.

Agreed, that's a messed up thing to do by the Cavs.
I hate when people put you in a lose-lose situation where you either overreact or look weak.
