He’s taking better shots from what I’ve seen, and stopped taking that god awful step back jumper

Present and accounted for, sir.

Can you imagine the reaction here if Frank would’ve had two almost back-to-back stretches of 0-20 and 2-21 3FGs?

But when RJ does it, “Well, he’s only 20 and developing. Why can’t y’all just be patient?”

Maybe that has something to do with Frank never looking like an NBA player or having back to back good games is what gives RJ a little more leeway? If Frank had the 4 game stretch RJ just had, you'd probably be coronating him the French Emperor or something ridiculous. Maybe year 4, he'll finally break 40% from the field or average more than 6 ppg for this false equivalence to make sense.

That's the thing that annoys me about you and the other 59 people that voted yes that RJ's a bust. We literally have two busts(Frank& DSJ) on the roster already. We know what it looks like and RJ doesn't play like either one of them. Maybe RJ doesn't develop into an all star that lives up to where he was drafted but he's already an NBA player.

For reference Zion is shooting 62% at the rim, and hasn't made a single shot from outside the paint, and he's playing with better guards ontop of that too with 64% of his shots being assisted.

RJ on the other hand is taking the hard road, only 47% of RJ's shots are assisted, he's learning to create for himself and others while also being asked to space the floor and shoot even though he's not good at it (yet). When it's all said and done, RJ will be better for playoff basketball than mini Shaq, we've all seen how you stop Giannis, why would that be any different for Zion who shoots even less from the outside than Giannis did at the same age.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. Also, for all the criticism RJ gets for his shooting, where's the Heat for JA? He's shooting 29% from three.

This might have been address last season or I just forgot but why doesn’t RJ inbound the ball? You see it every game even last season. When the opponent makes a basket he just turns around and ignores the ball even if its in front of him lol. Like dude, it’s basketball common courtesy right? Even if you’re not going to inbound the ball, pAss it to the one who’s out of bounds. Nowadays, I find it hilarious especially if it’s payton who’s left hanging on the backcourt.

It appears that RJ has figured out that right now he’s more comfortable with his midrange game while taking about 4 three-point shots per game. I think that’s a good place for him to be for now.

He’s young enough where he can still improve his shooting/consistency, but I still don’t see him as a starting player on a good team right now.

This post sucks. He’s already starting on a good team.

He might be the smartest player we’ve had in a long time. He just needs more experience to maximize the IQ.

**** I’m so excited we got one

That dude last night in RJs jersey was someone else because RJ never does behind the back pass or throw so many alleyoops or play according to defense this was a completely different player then what we have seen from him.
