just having watched him play a couple times, that was my reaction without ever hearing anything. He doesn't look right moving around.

He was hobbled in the playoffs too and still was putting up big performances.

And its not like Denver is running through everyone. Theyre the 11th seed and Mpj has been out not to mention losing Grant/Plumlee/Craig 3 of their best defenders. So they need his offense too and he just flatout hasnt been performing

This isn't the playoffs. No reason to turn up like that during the beginning of the season. The goal is to play through injury and progressively get better. People really worry too much about these early games..if they can't weather the storm while he is playing hurt then they weren't good enough.

I agree he's been disappointing this season as you'd have liked to see him make some kind of jump over last season, but why put so much weight on the bubble anyway?

He's usually good in the play off's , he was constant in the play off's before the previous one, but team needs him now and he needs to step up with his play , he's not an all star material player yet.

Man was averaging Steph Curry numbers in playoffs. Had b2b 50pt games and now through 13 games the next season he isnt even averaging 20 PPG and shooting .55ts

He's a streaky player and had 3 straight awesome games. He also had 12 and 14 point games in that series.

Lots of flukes happened in the summer league last season. Murray going nuts, TJ Warren turning into a superstar, Heat getting to the finals as a one-man team, Bucks flaming out, multiple 3-1 leads blown, Lakers winning the chip, etc.

I expect more of the same this year until this pandemic ends.

It's not a joke to say that some players and teams are better at handling all the noise and distractions than others. Folks were acting like the players are robots, like there's no chance young men getting their lives and routines upended and being away from their families and support systems could possibly have any impact. Do that to any other 20-something in any other walk of life and you wouldn't be surprised to see some side effects, but somehow ballers are immune because their paychecks are bigger?

I don't discount last year because handling any adversity that comes your way is basically the whole point of sports, but yeah, it's not surprising at all that things were weird, and still are to some extent.
