He needs starters minutes soooon. I think green is gone by the deadline for someone on a multi year deal that bolsters our bench

I don't think we're pressed to trade Green away. Team would probably rather just let everyone expire so they can use the full MLE and still avoid the luxury tax next year. They'll be in the tax this year, so avoiding it next year restarts the clock for the dreaded repeater tax.

Im confused now.

So maybe we need to add a first now for Bulls to take Ben?

Highly disagree. If they are chasing a star to put with Biid and Ben this is the only chance for salary purposes. Letting green expire instead of moving him for someone who has that much left but an extra year takes them completely out of the discussion this summer, unless they plan on paying someone to take Harris

I’m surprised 538 released these ratings so early, with so few minutes actually played. I’d expect the ratings to still be quite noisy. For example, when they originally introduced RAPTOR, they only rated players who had played a minimum of 1000 minutes.

That said, i’m loving what I see from Shake like everyone else on this board :)

Definitely quite noisy. It's still fun for me to see the early season outliers and see who their model thinks is crushing so far.

You disagree that they'll try to avoid the repeater tax? Really? I see virtually no chance they pay it.

Yeah they covered this on Sixers Beat and one of them had the same thought as you. I didn’t digest the whole thing but it involved the possibility of using the midlevel and still getting under the apron. I don’t follow the CBA like I used to, so I was completely following.

In today's ball screen crazy NBA, he has a very ceiling. He's very limited athletically and not really a good ball handler against pressure defenders. Look at the trouble he has when defenders pick him up in the backcourt like Pritchard did two nights ago. But that's a weakness that ultimately doesn't matter. He's a good enough ballhandler that with the advantage a screen gives him he can work his way to his spots to hunt shots. He's a scoring dynamo in the PnR but he's not good enough to get ISO buckets.

3 pt percentage has dropped to 29%. His rough stretch has come at a bad time with seth still recovering. Hopefully he can get back on track because we need him to hit open shots just as much as we need him to score off the P&R . Its not like he does anything else all that well.

Shake: "You never miss your water until your well runs dry" Milton. He is the bench. He scores runs the 2nd unit creates easy dunks for Howard and shoots 3's. He is truly missed.
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

The 76ers are sunk in any game that any one of Embiid, Simmons or Shake Milton misses.

According to yahoo fantasy, he is still out vs the rockets. He is still not a game time decision so I think it will take a little longer for him to come back.

Something no one mention, normally, is that Shake is one of the best contracts in the entire league, and if not the best at least top 5.

I would not trade the kind of flexibility that gives you unless we're trading for some big name. It also helps to aliviate some of the chips we normally would be force to offer on a possible trade scenario.

I always mention that when someone is suggesting trading him + some + Green for Lowry
