There are very few guards who'd fit next to Zion as poorly as Lonzo and Bledsoe. The moves for Hayes and Adams didn't make much sense either. The Pelicans are kind of wasting Zion's skill set.

i prefer our blues to our whites, but yeah, something felt gross about the nets beating us on our floor wearing white jerseys.

I wasn't the biggest fan pre-draft. But I don't think you can say anything about him yet. He went to an awful situation with Bledsoe and Ball there.

And NAW. And Reddick.

I would love to find a way to get NAW

I think of Harrison Barnes or Kevin Love in that context, but there are probably more. Cleveland is probably fine with Love, but I could see Sacramento wanting to move Barnes.

I dont know If The Pelicanos would pay tô move Bledsoe. He is servicable and i doubt they Will use cap space next offseason.

With Bledsoe. The Pelicans owe next season 89m. Plus They haver the cap hold of RFA lonzo (27m) e Hart (10M). If they keep lonzo and Hart, dumping Bledsoe could not give them more cap space..

There are few star players avaliable in The FA market and The Pelicans are not an atratctive team.

No, no. Not Bledsoe. We should try to do the same.

I’ll always respect Kyrie for what he does off the court. What he is as a teammate is a completely different story

I feel like Kyrie doesn't want to play ball anymore and just be an activist. Which is fine since does a lot of really good things to off the court but maybe just retire and do that stuff instead of stringing the Nets along.

Payton has played 20 and 23 minutes in 2 out of the last 3 games. He and QUickley are sharing the minutes. Can't see the issue there.

Payton is a different situation. his minutes are inconsistent because he's been outperformed by a rookie and b/c his fit w/ this roster is awful since he can't shoot. he shouldn't even be starting, but Thibs loves his vets

W/ Randle playing well, Thibs will continue to play him heavy minutes, as evidenced by playing 39 minutes in the 2nd game of a back-to-back

Not all true. Payton has been showing signs of being quite a good finisher and his defense has been very good to great. The penetrations into the paint by opposing guards is directly impacted by Robinson's presence, but the point guards (particularly Payton/Rivers) are doing a great job preventing them. His size and strength is huge plus and drives to the basket have been surprisingly good.

Payton, regardless of all the bullsht he gets here, has been a key part to our turn-around and with Quickley are forming a pretty good 1 - 2 punch.
If Payton gets moved, I'm not certain if that will not leave a big hole at the point, as you can tell I'm for making the playoffs.

As for Randle, he had 20 and 17 boards, what can you possibly be complaining about? Obi is not full ready to begin playing 25+ minutes, plus Noel is playing well as a backup and Randle is our All-star. What all-star caliber player doesn't get big minutes? Durant coming off a major career threatening injury is playing similar amounts of minutes as Randle.

K-Dot just provided all the #'s for why Payton isn't good

fit-wise, he's bad. we have 5 below average shooters starting. we need shooting which he doesn't provide, and having a PG who can shoot/shoot off the dribble would really help Mitch in the P&R

I'm not for making the playoffs, sure it would be good for morale, but this is a star driven league and you need multiple stars. and this is a draft w/ star potential. I'm not a fan of making the playoffs as an 8 seed, getting swept by the Bucks/Nets and missing out on the top talent.

I don't want to be like the Magic who look like they'll continue to fluctuate between the 7th/8th seed and back half of the lottery. I don't want to be a treadmill team

Sure, you can make the argument that if we win stars will want to be traded here or sign here....but which stars? a lot of them signed extensions and aren't going anywhere at least for a couple more seasons. and trading for a star (like Beal for example) would likely leave this team w/ little left (we ain't getting stars by giving up Frank, Knox, teams will want multiple of RJ, IQ, Mitch, Obi)

My issue w/ Randle and Obi is that there is no clear role for Obi so long as Randle is on the team, thus making it a poor decision to draft Obi over a PG, such as Haliburton who is excelling and would have fit well

I'll admit, I wanted Kira or Haliburton. I liked Kira's upside as a scorer better, but recognized Haliburton had the higher floor/was a safer prospect

Kira is kinda in a similar position to what Obi is in here. he hasn't had much opportunity because Bledsoe and Ball are on the team and like Thibs, SVG loves hit vets. situation/team that you're drafted to matters. can't really judge 1 month into their careers

I can already see this on the westcoast trip: curry, fox, lilliard and mitchell bricking all their wide open threes when paytons on the floor and nailing everything with IQ on them. payton curse in full swing.

They have different problems, Lonzo is a ball mover that can play off the ball but can't really finish in the lane when he has it, but if his 3 point shot is on he's a solid player. He's having a bad shooting year so far, he had been respectable from three the last two seasons on a much higher volume than Payton.

Payton cannot really play off the ball which is why our offense looks so much better with Quickley. A Lonzo + Quickley backcourt could actually work, while I doubt a Payton + Quick could, because Payton still needs the ball.

True

If he can be had for a good price though I'd give him a shot over Payton.

Similar numbers, though he's 3.3 years "youthier" than Payton; maybe he's an offseason away from leveling up.

Wanted Kira or Tyrell...keeping it in my sig for accountability. Taking a massive loss on Tyrell though. As for Kira, let’s see. A rookie sitting behind Bledsoe ain’t anything to be ashamed of.

The guy I’m most surprised about is Maxey. The three guys it seemed the Knicks were most connected to at 8 IMO were Cole, Toppin and Maxey.
