Orlando interested in Lonzo Ball...

interesting indeed

also something to consider
At one point, Ball suggested that the injury-prone reputation he built with the Lakers was the byproduct of his terrible Big Baller Brand shoes. Since then, he has switched kicks – yet the injuries have persisted.

What does NOLA even want?. They're pretty stacked up and down the roster. I know they have Adams, but wouldn't Bamba be an interesting long-term pairing with Zion? Floor spacer on one end, rim protector on the other.

I do not want to get involved unless NAW is involved ... like, at all.

I’m 100% in tank mode and have no interest in half-measure improvements to the roster. I don’t even want Ball for a second round pick.

I’m happy letting Cole gain experience while leading the tank.

Fournier and Bamba seem like the pieces that would best fit NOP, but they don't fit with the salaries of Lonzo and NAW all that well. JJ would help fill out contracts but I don't think he's available.

Fournier + Bamba for NAW + Lonzo as the base idea though.

Vuc/Birch
Gordon/Okeke/Aminu/Clark
Lonzo/MCW/Bacon
NAW/Ross
Cole/(Lonzo/NAW)

That team should continue to lose whilst giving the youth a decent platform to audition on for the season.

If this is legit then it has to be coming from New Orleans. He has been **** since the bubble opened last year and they probably aren't enthused with the idea of extending him given their depth. I don't know. There is a really good player in there, but he has been so bad of late that I don't see how it changes anything for us. If you can get him cheap, then you might as well take a look at him and then decide on whether or not he is worth keeping around. I wouldn't pay much for him though. It sounds like NO is ready to move on and is trying to create a market.

I don't think scoopb knows anything... he's been pushing lonzo to magic for two years, said magic were after jeremy lin and magic wouldn't want to re-sign vuc to a big deal. His "rumors" are more like fan speculation that don't materialize.

yeah, i liked to see his 37% from 3 last year on 6 attempts a game (though still bad 56% from FT). but 28% from 3 is bad this year on 7 attempts a game. his assists are down too. With Holiday gone, and Bledsoe never really a big assist guy, his assists shouldnt be down that much. I wonder if he is hurt again or still hurt

I wouldn't over react just yet, this would be another buy-low scenario as we did Fultz which we could also capitalize on.

Contract year, injury history and a down year could all play in our favor.

I trust management enough to know that they wouldn't overpay in a trade so who knows what is being discussed.

NOP is looking to win sooner than later and lacks a true starting SG and coincidentally we have one that we dont envision extending which fits perfect within their style of play and current roster.

for

Lonzo Ball
Josh Hart

Salaries match, players match roster construction and general goal of each team.

Orlando gets half a season try out before having to pay Lonzo for essentially nothing. Fultz was already a question mark, now even more with his injury and Cole hasn't proven anything so I completely get it.

What's the flaw with Josh Hart by the way? shoots 3's at a respectable clip, solid defender, good size...I haven't seen a ton, why isn't he a starter?

There is nothing wrong with him. He just doesn't excel at anything and he doesn't create offense. He is a nice player though and he would start for us.

Why? This is the exact kind of player that puts us just enough over the hump to **** up draft position. Then you gotta put up with his racist prick dad potentially. I don't trust this rumor.

I’d you want to trade for a pg go for Derrick Rose
Ball would make me really burn all my Magic gear and riot.

The guys I would want are probably all untradeable ( Zion, Ja Morant, Tyrese Haliburton, Lamelo Ball, Fred VanVleet, Tyler Herro, Trae Young, Shae Gilgerous Alexander )

Honestly, I’d love to see him here.

Lots of hate coming from his stage dad. But what can you expect, every dad wants the best for his son.

I thought Lonzo's shot might come good after last season but with his FT% still being shocking I'm not convinced.

Regardless, Lonzo could be good for this team. He could play the 2 next to Cole/Fultz and be the facilitator whilst they look to score. He would be great for our transition basketball, though wouldn't help a whole lot in the half court at this point. He's a good defender who can hit the boards, too.

Basically, another MCW but with better passing and a bit more potential he learns to hit the 3 with consistency.

But give me NAW over him any day of the week. I suspect NOP feel the same and are looking to move Lonzo to make room for NAW.
