Guessing itd take something real. Maybe Nesmith. We’d then be in position to flip Theis to someone to get below the tax.

If we are getting Barnes, I'd hope we get Whiteside as a throw in too. He's not getting any minutes behind Holmes/Bagley and on a year 1 vet min. Should only cost us a 2nd or two for him to be thrown in, plus gives us a legit 7 footer to replace Theis if/when we ship him out.

I think it could be as little as the Celtics 2021 FRP for Barnes. Saves the Kings a ton of money they'd get the TPE and the asset. I'm fine with Nesmith though if that's what it comes to.

Whiteside blows ....terrible attitude, horrible team defense, chases blocks at expense of positioning, not a great locker room guy. I’m all set on hoping and praying he plays engaged.

If we move Theis we'd only have TT and Timelord. That's just too thin.

I'd take him as a throw in. He's playing for his next contract after only getting the vet min, might be a long shot, but probably better than most guys on the buyout market (who won't be heading for BKN).

I read the Nets tried to trade Landry Shamet for a first but found no takers.

Kemba, Smart and Theis to Orlando for Vucevic, Gordon and Ross.

Then sign Isaiah back for point guard depth.

I think the player we should target is Oladipo.

I think he would work really good with our current combos.

He scores, plays hard, and plays solid defense.

Probably would have to give up langford to get him tho.

When it’s from an mvp top 6 player I can deal with diva like attitude...not from a role player. I also actually watch harden and know is defense isn’t as bad as it used to be nor do I necessarily think his attitude is terrible.

I can deal with diva like attitude tho when it comes in an mvp package not from a bum like whiteside.

Some variation of this would be cool. Would rather keep smart somehow.

But it’s obvious , Kemba needs the ball in his hands and we need the ball in Jayson and Jaylen hands. Hoping he proves me wrong. But I would trade him if a decent deal is out there.

I understand wood was the big off season signing and he’s played really well for them but if they continue to fall in the standings and want to keep their pick this year which is protected I’d call the rockets and see what it would take to get him here in Boston.

He’s 25, by next offseason it’s a full rebuild no matter what’s said. in 2 years his contract is up and they’ll still be terrible

That’s the guy i really wanted in the off season. A big guy that can dribble, penetrate, shoot from outside and with rim protection. Would exactly fit with the J’s talent and age wise. All three would be the best 2way trio in the league. We would play fast and athletic ball. Hope we could find a way to get him.

I wonder what it would take to get Aaron Gordon. He is fills a need on this team. A PF with size, mobility, and defense. He also elevates his game during the playoffs unlike a lot of other players who have better numbers during the regular season.

Still haven’t replaced Hayward and are badly missing that 12-16 PPG guy. The wing depth is atrocious where it’s JT, JB, and then a huge drop off to Semi and Javonte. And let’s be real, Javonte should not be getting minutes in this league.

Idk who is out there but even making just a small, regular deal at the deadline for actual rotational NBA pieces would help a lot and Danny should have done that last year too.

There won’t be a trade until everyone comes back sadly. They’ll want to see how the roster looks with a healthy Kemba and Romeo before making moves. I truly think they’re just one legit scorer away from having a true shot at the finals.

Take a look at the projected rotation with healthy roster:
Kemba/Smart/Brown/Tatum/Theis as starters
TT/Teague/Pritchard/Timelord/Semi/Romeo/Grant off the bench

That’s your 12 man rotation which really gets narrowed down to 9-10 depending on matchup. The issue is there is basically no scoring/shooting threat off the bench. Yes, guys like Timelord and Pritchard can fill it up sometimes but they’re really missing that one “microwave” guy who actually scares opponents. Even a guy like Shake Milton would help so much

Javonte Green is the new fave of Stevens. He is this seasons’ Wanamaker  at least wanamaker turned out to be reliable off the bench.

Nope. No 6'9" and above non-Tacko centers allowed on this team.
