Might be alone on this one, but I feel the team is no where near finished. I do feel we TRY to compete the next season and are better off waiting for 2022 free agency when Beal and Gordon hit the market. No use overpaying for guys like Oladipo. Even with him on board, it is still no enough to get past the Lakers in a 7 game series. So I do feel we will cruise and wait for the right time. With Luka being 21, our timeline is waaaay down there. Let Lebron and KD finish their years, once that's out of the way, we can hope we were able to assemble a team that is ready to compete when the time comes. But for now, I dont see the need to overpay for players that only lets us finish in the middle of the West.
Luka will be over the hills and far away by the time we have finished waiting, same for KP. You can't keep such stars around if you're not going to try to win. We have to get active this year and stop wasting time otherwise we'll go back to a perpetual mediocricy and likely won't draft another Luka.
No matter how hard Mavs will struggle, i believe he's going to be loyal like Dirk. So far, he never took the easy way out or complained about it. The only time i heard him publicly complain about anything was the Bucks game when Rick didn't take the TO.
It's true he landed on a champinship team in Madrid, but that team had a ton of struggles aswell before they won. I understand that people are worried but he loves Dallas and i can't see him taking the easy way out.
