Those are the facts. You say its a Character flaw, as to why these coaches are NOT hired. You also said Skill sets as a coach. Those are the things YOU believe as to why Bienemy or whoever else was NOT hired. And why some inexperienced DC from the Rams is now Head Coach of the Chargers. Or a TE coach, all of the sudden is a head coach in Detroit. According to YOU, they have Character, and those other coaches Dont. And yet... you say my viewpoints are difficult to understand....Lol

Well obviously. If you bite someone's knee caps off, you definitely will be the last one standing

Could your bias be at play in making that singular assessment about 32 different NFL owners?
Or do you have some tangible evidence that they think the way you are stating they do?
the evidence is whats happening in the hiring . White coaches are getting gigs and black ones are not. Whether its TE coach or special teams coach making the jump to head coach, this is happening to white coaches being given that opportunity and not blacks
case in point: Herbert in SD just had one of the best rookie QB seasons ever, why isnt their QB coach Pep Hamilton getting any calls? No one has even mentioned his name, probably cuz hes black
Shannon nails it on the head:
Exactly, goal posts are continuously moved. While we have folks still in this thread claiming without full knowledge or absolute insider information making claims....well...its due to a Mans Characteristics, as to why he is not being hired....Lol. Heck, weve got to judge a Mans Character, and claim thats why he is Not being hired
Honestly, in regards to the Chargers, they LOVED Anthony Lynn and had a hard time letting him go. But due to the problems this season, their primary goal was to find an innovative based coach. I was a little surprised at the hiring but I definitely don't think it has anything to do with race. Heck, they just had Anthony Lynn, and thought he did well with the team when healthy...but they faced a ton of pressure to get rid of him, and I think Lynn (who I really liked) just gradually kind of got more and more lost with game management...whether it be stress or whatever, I don't know...but nothing related to race.
I have heard a few interviews with Staley and he sounds impressive. He was actually a college QB...and he says that is his entire philosophy to coaching..is looking at things through the QBs eyes. I think he will have a strong handle on both sides of the ball and a very strong relationship with Herbert. He has also been with the Rams and seen how they approach the offense, but I don't know that it really matters, as he seems extremely well studied and I have a feeling he will be good...he is a high achiever.
I was never high on Bienemy simply because I think anyone would be successful with Mahomes (though I understand that same argument applying to Staley having Donald and Ramsey).
I was pretty high on Daboll though because of the progression Josh Allen has had under him.
I really don't think the vast majority, if not all coaching hires have anything to do with race. I think it has to do with specific experience, what type of coach/approach they are looking for, and how well they interview. I think any candidate could win the job with most. There may be some racist owners....I don't know. It would probably be naive to think there are not any at all, but I don't think it's necessarily widespread if there are any at all.

The first few minutes, Spanos talks about what their approach and process was to the coaching hire.

David Culley hired as head coach of the Texans. Quarterbacks coach and well respected around the league. Will it be enough for Watson to change his tune?

I’m legit depressed, no it isn’t enough. How can an owner be so influenced by a rasputin like character in the days of social media where he sees how unhappy the fan base is
