Draft Blunder- Edwards over Wiseman

Post#1 » by Chello1 » Fri Jan 22, 2021 5:55 pm

Can we already call this the biggest mistake of Rosas tenure here? What a colossal failure it looks like Edwards is and what a stud Wiseman looks like? How can our supposed small ball, three point loving GM take guys who can't shoot two drafts in a row? Culver and Edwards should be enough proof the guy is a poor judge of talent. I can't believe this guy is so over his head.... And if that isn't enough he also kept Saunders..... What more do we need to see before we pull the plug?

Not ready to give up on Edwards yet.

But let me say this...
Why Wiseman and not Ball?

Ball has been the best rookie so far.

Not sure how many threads we need for this debate, but anyway I haven't been that impressed with Wiseman personally. Ball on the other hand...

Maybe if we could have given them a groundswell of support to draft outside the hyped questionmarked three he might of. But there sure wasn't many here that would have accepted anyone but a choice in that hyped three.

In 13 games Haliburton has 7 games shooting 3s over 50%, 9 games shooting over 40%, TS% .650.

Wiseman sucks and his value is only going to get worse. lamelo only looks better right bow because he’s been a pro for years already.

What is the logic of this?

Worst rebounding starting center in The league , 7 feet for nothing!

The way we are coached. Ball would be second fiddle to DLO, and we'd all be calling for Ryan and Rosas' head because they don't let him play on ball much. Just like they are doing to Rubio.

No matter the player we would have gotten, the team management/coaching isn't sufficient enough to groom rookies for success.
Even KAT, in a better organization, would most likely be less stat chasing and a more polished 2 way player.

15 games into rookie season and you found one something he needs to work on yet. Cut him!

Give Edwards a season and a starting position before calling him a bust.

With 35 minutes a game and 60+ games I'm sure he'd figure it out. Of course that would be detrimental to us.

Give me Haliburton. :banghead:

Oh well, Suggs in June! Fingers crossed. If we lose our top 3 pick to Golden State, we probably have to trade Towns.

Please discuss this in the Edwards thread or around the league thread if you want to talk about Wiseman.
