LOL

The hard part is when some questioned the bench, they were shouted down. Like I was legitimately told on multiple occasions that Ainge did improve the bench with TT and Teague and that I was overreacting.

Its just frustrating that you cant even have a conversation about our poor depth here, saw the same **** last season when I wanted to trade for depth at the deadline.

Like I truly believe that with Tucker and Hill we can go to the finals. Gotta go get those guys.

Tucker/Hill/Barnes are my guys and, imo we'd be in the Finals. It's doable, but we'd have to part ways with Grant/Carsen and maybe Semi dunno... Anyways, I'd do it.
Good assessment:

People are way too concerned about the back end of the roster and not concerned enough with the top. The goal should be getting another all-star to pair with Tatum and Brown and maximizing the team 3-5 years from now.

I am one of the biggest Ainge critics here, but we are a minority. He doesn't get near enough heat from fans and esp media, imo. All these picks, this war chest... and this is the best he can do? Not good

I think the cavs, after it was all said and done, turned what they got in the Kyrie trade plus Channing Frye and the #25 pick in the 2018 first round into:

Sexton
Nance
Drummond
Allen
Prince

Not a bad haul.....

Only if you talk about Fultz at the same time.

Were not going to be able to under the current cap. Best hope is that theres a spike in 2 years after a new TV deal and we have cap space after Kemba expires.

Also, Sexton doesnt develop the same with Tatum and Brown commanding the touches we expect. Its not a vacuum.

I’m torn really...I know we need help and I know the depth isn’t good enough. I also know we need a wing (at least imo) over a big but I really don’t wanna send out multiple 1sts in a deal this season. I don’t think we can win a ring this year even if we get to the finals and even with depth- even with a Harrison Barnes or tucker and hill.

If there’s even a 10% chance (and that may be generous and high) this summer that beal would force his way here (very unlikely I know) then we will need to have all our draft picks as ammunition. Especially when we aren’t trading brown, we’re gonna need to grease a teams wheels.

As unlikely as that is its legitimately the only time in the past 4-5 years that we had an in on a “superstar” that may have us a preferred destination and would sign an extension. I wanna hold out for that even if it’s a snowball chance in hell. Add to the team but move pieces and get us a tucker or hill or someone else but save the picks for the summer

Idk about Beal. There's only so much ball to go around, you know? But surely I wouldn't complain if we somehow pulled it off.

Nesmith turning into a sharpshooter is so needed and Romeo developing into a good roleplayer, as well. The Jays can carry this team to a title in the next few yrs imo, they just need the supporting cast.

Agree...Beal may be the first star that will try to force trade to us like AD, Harden and others did in last year's.

Kemba to 3rd team for assets
Smart

Picks will be good enough imo.

If not as I said in post days ago...if Kemba is traded or opts out of last year of contract 22/23...we will have max cap space in summer 22.

Prichard
Beal
Brown
Tatum
Williams

Is my dream 22/23 lineup.

Teague does suck though and TT is disappointing so far.

Yep, need a really good 4 or 5. This team is too small

I really like Smart, but they may need to deal him for some size. Smart likely becomes a $20 million per year player soon anyways.

Lol, he’s noting the time period it changed and missing the reason it changed— our bench looks better cuz they played with Tatum. Our Tatum + Bench units **** rocked teams. Without Tatum theyre exposed for what they are talent wise.

The bench is going to be fine when Tatum comes back and hopefully PP injury isn’t that bad. We need another good starter beside the Jays preferably a wing than can defend tough assignments.

How does this make any since ? Kyrie Irving is headed to the Celtics for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick. Where is Fultz name in this trade and when did we draft Fultz.

Not a fan but teams are starting to think about the trade deadline

He would look great starting alongside the Jays.

Very underrated playmaker, and a good shooter at 6'10"
