Props to Jeannie-Rob Vogel!

Post#1 » by stan francisco » Sat Jan 16, 2021 11:07 pm

I’m a fan of the name on front of the jersey, The Lakers. I’d have to go back far in time to recall this type of easy looking dominance.

Kudos to Rob for re-building us in to an even better team than the one last season. What he did this offseason was nothing short of incredible work. Yoda like.

Jeannie, you’re a class act. Your dad is smiling from above, couldn’t fathom how he could possibly be prouder. The Lakers look stronger than ever as an organization. Dr Buss-like.

Vogel and the coaching staff. As a fan of suffocating defense, I love his coaching strategy. It takes patience to watch the team go through his 5 games at a time progressions, but the defense we played in game 6 is all worth it!

Just wanted to celebrate our great team when they’re playing great! It’s easy to complain when they suck but we have to enjoy when they’re kicking ass. Let’s enjoy this season. Here’s to good health!

we've been playing the plodders of the nba

we've yet to be truly tested and when we played teams that were .500 and over, the lakers are 0-1 against the clippers, 1-0 against the twolves (they were 2-1 at the time, but KAT didn't play), 0-1 against the blazers, 1-1 against the the spurs (the 2nd time we played them, we put them under .500, also LMA didn't play in the wins over the spurs), for a total of 2-3 against teams .500 and over

so yeh, the team looks good against crappy teams

If that’s all the enjoyment I’ll get from you, I’ll take it, Doc! Lol.

I know, but it’s looking like we’re soon where in that place where we can turn on the defense in the third on command like last year’s playoffs.

Getting rid of Magic, trading for AD, and hiring Vogel....incredible. Just perfect execution.

You shouldn't really see it as ridding of magic as if he turned up to be something that wasn't good for us.
He should be seen as a catalyst to us turning the corner to become a great franchise again. He was one of the pieces that played his part in the work done to get here.
Jeanie was advised by kobe to bring in magic I believe is what I read on here somewhere. And magic influenced LeBron to come sign here.

We’re perfect on the road. That takes good team culture. Kudos, Frank.

I’d like this team to turn into a third quarter team again, like the dynasty teams of the past that always came out and finished games off in the third. Shut down defense. Lights out.

We saw some of that late last season. Looking forward to seeing it soon again. Especially against a good team.

The only reason we are remotely good is because we were able to get AD ... The trade for AD was the Key to our success. B4 that we had Lebron who was like "playoff mode activated" and we didn't even make the playoffs lmao. So mad prop to those who helped in getting AD (including Lebron) and AD himself for wanting to come.

AD is our hero.

But AC is the true goat of this team :) love seeing AC and his one handed dunks haha.

Everyone conveniently forgets that Lebron had our scrub team at 4th seed by near end of 2018 then abruptly ruptured his groin to be out for essentially the whole year.
It was the scrub team that lost us out of contention that year. of course.

I'm not gonna shovel dirt on Magic. Mistakes, sure...But...
He went to Brons house, sat down, and made the pitch. Bron came on board.
Many questioned Magics bringing in of Rondo. But he was right, the team and Bron needed another to run the offense. A Cp3 type, and it proved helpful and needed.
He advocated and pushed to rid the team of Walton. We all agree, we needed that to happen quick.
So yeah, Magic made wrongs. But let's not give it a total F, and forget who sold Bron plus other moves that were made together with Pelinka.
