Yeah, he's super raw though, but if you develop him he can be very good.

If we fall outside the lottery there might be some guys in that range that are intriguing. I also like Springer a lot.

The non-freshman guys:

Kessler Edwards is a stud who shoots well from outside but contributes on the boards and blocks shots. He is the type of versatile 6'8" guy you have to look at even if his shot is funky.

Spoiler:
;ab_channel=NextOnes

If we go big Garuba is a guy I hope who falls, but close to him is Charles Bassey. About 6'10" and a shotblocking physical beast who is showing a bit more shooting range this year.

Spoiler:
;ab_channel=Swish

The guys I am trying to dig into more are Scottie Pippen Jr and Ron Harper Jr. I love kids of NBA guys. Both are playing really well so far.

Edwards is a guy I mentioned in last season's draft thread, but this year he's come back even better!! He's perfect for the modern NBA and I could see him projecting as a Trevor Ariza type.

Bassey is really good too, and will probably drop because the big man is no longer cool, but he does what he does very well.

However, if we're looking for bigs in that 15-20 range I'm starting with Kai Jones. This kid recently started playing ball and if you're looking to develop someone he's a great one to pick.

More of this, please. I think the Raps pick 12-16 so I love seeing these kinds of posts.

Stuff like this is ridiculous he gets that jumper off at near rim level lol , he could def be a real stud under the right development

The elevation on that jump shot is ridiculous.

can't teach that lmao

The defender is jumping with his arm outstretched and his hand is barely at Johnson's chest.

If he can clean up his 3 pointer (he's shooting about 22% from there), he could be really good down the road.

Tre Mann is another kid to consider around 15-20. He grew 2 inches this off-season and is now basically a 6'5" point guard.

On 2 pointers he's shooting 43%.

What about a 6'5 player that shoots 72.5% on 2 pointers and gets 7.7 rebounds?!?!?!

Also with an A/T of 3.5! And you could draft him 20-30. :reporter:

Ayayi is another guy to consider in our range for sure, he gives me Rondo vibes.

Yes, a combo of Rondo in Delon Wright's body! He's the leading rebounder on Gonzaga, which reminds me of watching boxscores of Oakhill with Carmelo, then Josh Smith and wondering who is this Rajon Rondo outrebounding him. Ayayi just got the only triple double in Gonzaga history! :o

Without Suggs, Ayayi likely has more than 4 assists per game. I think he would be putting up closer to Ayo Dosunmu's numbers. Dosunmu only has an A/T of 1.7. Will be another 6'5 SG? Speaking of combo guards, Jared Butler at 6'3 has Baylor ranked in the top 4. I see Butler as the usual college guard. Maybe he ends up like Jalen Brunson level?

With Ayayi you get great rebounding at the guard spot and someone that will not turn the ball over and is elite inside the arc for a guard. Rondo was drafted with the #21 pick. Ayayi was is French and Beninese (Benin in west Africa).

I am watching the second half of the Kentucky game. When I started watching, BJ Boston hit a 3 off the dribble, a sweet drive and layup and then had a nice put back off the rim. Since then he has bricked 4 or 5 shots in a row, all either 3s or mid range pull ups. He's got potential but he's going to be a major project. Wouldn't be interested in him unless we were picking in the late teens or early 20s.

PG: He finished with 18 and 6, which is nice. Except he took 17 shots to get those 18 points.

He had a lot of hype in High School. Got exposed so quickly in college.

If we do end up drafting mid to late lottery, I hope we go for the home run and draft one of Nix/Springer/Boston

You should've heard the way the announcers were praising him. Don't get me wrong, if he figures it out he could be really good but right now he's Dollarama Ingram.

I think Dollorama Lamba! Has a nice ring! (Jeremy Lamb)

Though Kelly Oubre ceiling is more appropriate given Oubre is 6'7 with 7'2 wingspan.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30383235/nba-mock-draft-loaded-no-1-pick-race-new-top-60

This is from November, so by actually playing in college, Suggs and Boston have switched spots at #3 and #18. :D

Nix was rated higher than Suggs. So Nix is actually 6'5. His a bit thick; is he 6'5 Lowry? He is mixed native, so ancestry going back before the sale of Alaska he's more Canadian than other Canadian players. Also being from Alaska he'd be cool playing in Toronto; We The North!!!

Jalen Green is only 6'5 but with great hops, so Green vs Nix might be akin to VC vs Pierce (both SG/SF's instead of guards). If they can get Nix in the 14-20 range that might be good.

In 5-10 years

PG Flynn - FVV
SG Nix - TD
SF OG

Nix being ranked as low as he is doesn't make sense to me. Maybe the G-League will expose him, but at this point I think he's a lotto talent.

We not gonna be bad enough to get the real talent so might as well swing for the fence

Probably going to have to take on another multi year development project (which sucks) but like you said if they stay mediocre we have no choice.
